both are great but Kompany is a personal favourite. maybe because I watched Kompany in action more than I watched Hummels.

Could have gotten Kompany from HSV when he was on a cheap. Hummels also, as he had expiring contract and only signed an extension recently.
But apparently our scouting in Bundesliga sucks.

Hummels is great but Kompany is about as good as it gets for a central defender.

I love both players and the type of central defender they both represent but despite having wanted Hummels for 2 years now (see my posts before) there is no doubt that Kompany is the better player right now. Might change in the near future though.

But it's a shame that we will not buy any of them.
