Iker Casillas

According to Marca, Mourinho will keep Lopez as a first choice GK this season. If Mou decides to stay after this season, do u guys think they can still work together? I just don´t see Iker leaving Real Madrid.

I just don't get it. In my opinion Iker is one of the best GK's in the world (and I think everyone agrees with me). Why would you not pick him as the 1st GK?

Because he broke his hand, just came back and won't use to a sufficient degree required of a top goalkeeper this season? And I fully support the decision, because Lopez is doing an awesome job and deserves to be kept the first choice. Plus the media keep bullshitting about these things at all times. If Madrid make it through the semis Mourinho will fully consider choosing him in the final.

What's so hard to understand about this situation?

#FreeIker.

Wolfe, you are making it sound a little too logical than it really is and you know it. Before his injury Casillas got benched by Adan.

1) He got benched by Mourinho who got pissed off with Iker's poor form like many other madridistas have. He just picked a shit moment to do so.
2) What does that change? Diego is doing great and Iker should stay on the bench if Diego keeps performing and get ready for the next season with a proper keeper to keep him on his toes.

btw what happend to Adan aka the best GK in the world according to Mou?? Poor guy. Gone from being promised CDR matches by Mou, to briefly #1 over Casillas, now unwanted and discarded.

Iker's poor form> Valdez's top form

*runs away from the thread*

ok may be a bit exaggerated but it is not far from truth

Iker would be nowhere close to his number of Spain appearances if it was down to form/performance

Pre-season will be interesting in terms of a duel between Lopez and Casillas, especially with Casillas returning later due to the Confed Cup.
