Even if you weren't a culé, there are so many aspects to this saga that is not only remarkable/bizarre but quite unique in professional sports...Mou alone is distinct from other egomaniacal coaches/managers in that the extent of his intransigence really has no limits/bounds...He's the shock jock Howard Stern of professional coaching and then you have the circus that is the capital club...Club legends like Valdano kicked to the curb, loyal local papers that usually are furthering the club's agenda but now report on instability...Throw in an institutional legend like San Iker who just so happens to have an attractive girlfriend who also just so happens to be a football reporter that you know is simply passing on what Casillas knows is going on inside the club

I mean, does anything even come close to this?

I don't think it takes much courage if you're a reporter to report something as straightforward as this...I do question the timing unless Iker is doing this because he doesn't want to have to leave the club and feels it's his only avenue to push back on Mou's propaganda as well...Perhaps he figures if Mou can manipulate through the media and back channels, so can he...Still, if you're a football fan, you wouldn't want one of your favorite legendary players pulling the strings like this and contributing to the already unstable atmosphere...Imagine if Leo's girlfriend, Shakira or Iniesta's wife was a reporter and doing this?

Of course, it does go back to Perez & Mou - they lit the match and can't be surprised when it actually goes from small fire to an uncontrollable forest fire

I do agree with Sara. And I am sure she talked to Iker before she said anything (they live together). If this was happening to Barcelona I would want the same thing. If you have a bully as a coach and some players aren't happy then why shouldn't they have the right to speak out. They are not the one to hurt the club, it's mou. He is causing the chaos.
This is really sad cuz Real Madrid is a great club.

Well, it's a bit of a conflict of interest for the SO of the captain to be reporting anything about Madrid, full stop. And Sara's not the brightest soul on earth and seems to be getting at least some airtime because of who she's dating (and possibly because of her, er, surgical enhancements). It was a dumb move for her to make the comments a couple of days before a Clasico and it's known she's an Atletico fan so yeah, the Madrid fans are likely to unload on her.

I'm not so sure how much they're actually coming down on Iker because of this, though if people assume Sara got her info from Iker, I could see where he'd be criticized for airing the laundry right before a big game. That being said, I doubt the majority of actual Madrid fans would choose Mourinho over Iker. The vast majority I know want Mourinho out NOW.

Sara doesn't really care about Real Madrid, Iker is the one she cares about. After all he's the man she loves and wants him to be happy. And if making him happy again and forcing Mourinho out of Madrid, she had to do this. She knew that a lot of people would abuse her for that. IMHO she did the right thing and she has my biggest respect.
