Old school who stopped in time, and don't use modern things like videos or coaching apps to aid the coaching process. Not old coach by age.

Didn't mean old age. Just saying even old school coaches approach games better than Tata when it comes to simplest of things. But Martino didn't.

Old school?

Pretty much all old school coaches define their approach for training as "intense" , "disciplined" , "punctuality" as keys to matchday success. Tata neither had those nor innovation. Couldn't even motivate the players.

Tata's first move was abolishing the "penalty" system of Guardiola i.e if someone comes late in training he has to pay some penalty from his salary. Way to go.

The true icon for 'old school coach' in football is none other than Marcelo Bielsa, El Loco himself. There's not a man in football as meticulous and OCD about his methods. This type of coach tends to be a hell of a lot stricter and tougher than the average manager while Tata seemed more like a laid back grandpa.

I remember when, during the time surrounding his appointment, people were referring to Tata as "Bielsa without the crazy". Turns out that you need some of the crazy/intensity to implement Bielsa's type of genius (not that Tata even closely mirrored Bielsa's tactical ingenuity, the man was a weak mimicker at best).

Exactly. Not a fit profile to coach a club like Barca or any club at this level. I have full doubts that he was at all confident about this from the very start.

Funny since Tata is a disciple of Bielsa's style of coaching. Maybe this was just too big for someone of his experience or mentality to handle?

Wasn't Tata praised and highly rated in Argentina? Looks like the pressure and responsibility of being the coach of Barcelona was too big for him to handle.

Spain is a completely different beast to Argentina. I still think he'd do alright at a smaller European team though.

Ship him out. We cannot keep players for the sake of keeping homegrown talent. The key focus should always be quality. Cuenca has been unlucky with injuries and such but he is also simply not good enough. Same story as Tello: wish him all the best outside of Barca.
