Awful Awful can I said again Awful?

he did absolutely nothing today. couldn't run,pass or do anything right. I just can't understand why he's still a starter.

There was a clear difference in energy when he and Iniesta went off.

Gomes showed more bollocks on the ball in that second half than Raki has all season.

Not just spanish fans but you can look at the Barca Reddit and you will find a boat load of Rakitic fans on there that will defend him to the death no matter how badly he plays.

I respect Rakitic a lot for his contribution in the treble season even if he has his limitations but these days you will have to be completely blind to not see how underpar he has been for a long time now.

Barca Reddit is the most delusional place I've seen on the internet.

Those guys are still waiting for Gomes to break out to be the next Modric.

I mean there's nothing wrong with being optimistic but there's a fine line between being positive and optimistic to just flat out being delusional.

I was one of those guys who thought Gomes is a rough Diamond when we got him but he simply doesn't fit what we need from the Midfield and it's okay to admit that. but for those guys on reddit they will keep holding onto delusional hope that Gomes can be our modric.

Rakitic though I don't think he would even make a good sub here anymore. He's quickly descended into Arda territory for me.

i might rewatch the game just to count how many times he passed back and how many times he tried to pass forward,he's just a player at the moment,not a midfielder,not a defensive midfielder,not creative midfielder...he's just there on the pitch to fill the numbers

Rakitic simply because he doesn't do anything on the field. He can't defend and he's slow as hell and he doesn't do what a CM should be doing in the Midfield.

He plays and looks like someone who was picked out of the stands just to occupy a spot on the field.
