Stats, stats, stats. Go watch baseball. Football isn't for you if you start evaluating players on stats. Ifhis stats were so impressive why in the hell did we look so lost in midfield? Seems like those stats are peak Xavi level and should mean we dominated the midfield. Instead we we failed to control the mid big tume. Does off the ball movenent nean something to you guys? That's why our mid looks so much better with Arthur in it. He passes and moves, passes and moves, thus creating opportunities to pass plus dragging players out of their position. Rakitic plays the pass and stays there. The opposition has an easier tine blocking our building phase. Check the stats on that. Oh you can't, you have to watch the fucking games because this thing that is very important, especially for a controling mid, is not captured by stats.

It's a phenomenon this one. We often say not everything is in the stats, and that is true, but with Ivan, nothing's in the stats. 101 passes (96% accuracy), 7/8 long balls, 3/3 dribbles, 5/5 duels won, 3 interceptions (one of which was very nice, possibly stopped the goal), and yet, despite the numbers, managed to play worse that a traffic cone would. How are you doing it, Ivan? There, there, a realy mystery.

The problem with stats and this is great example is they just don't give a true picture .
For example... all those Rakitic passes are shortish and sideways or backwards to our two CBs - he did a couple of 35 yard backpasses the last game and one was flamin well intercepted..

"knowledge" of football on Barca's forum for majority of users equals=playing players with the highest creative skills.
