The saddest part , is that it doesn't even show the amount of times he went for the safe pass instead of a forward one or the amount of times he put his teammates into trouble. This could have easily been a 35 min compilation.

He's racking up those passes to boost his stats because that's all what matters in football :bbz:

It's unbelievably funny how some people think that when we get rid of Rakitic we will play tiki-taka again. I Rakitic is our biggest problem than we indeed have wonderful squad and we will dominate next season from start to finish!

Nobody said that mate. Everybody knows (except maybe BBZ and his posse) we need a new manager with vision, new blood and cleanup of the old guard before we can play tiki taka

I dont think anybody thinks that. But its a start. We need fresh impulses - where would you start? Breaking up the Rakitic-Busquets pairing is step 1 for me. Playing with 3 forwards for a change would be nice as well.

Sorry but second part is even dummer than first. Blaming him for third goal against Lpool is stupid as it gets.

Midfield is horrible but having proper wingers and a CF who actually moves would be great, not to mention that a RB who can defend would also be useful.

That being said all of that is useless if Valverde doesn't get fired. No one can help us than.

True we need a good coach as well.

I'd sell straight up because he no longer brings anything worthwhile to the table anymore. He was never the quickest but at one time he did bring the work rate and seemed a bit more athletic but now he doesn't. Time to move on from him.

Sure he scores goals every now and then but meh that's really not enough for me to change my mind. Would rather us look towards what we have and possibly look for another B2B Midfielder.

Of course , keeping Valverde but selling Rakitic wouldnt change shit. But If I were to put Rakitic on the fraud scale he would be joint second place with Suarez , while Valverde would be the undisputed number 1.

Don't get me wrong we should absolutely sell him and get rid of Valverde but our problem is much bigger. We need to get rid of 5-6 old players at least.

Unless if he suddenly improves his forward game.

Obviously Arthur should improve his forward passes, but we should never forget that we have no idea what tactical instructions he receives from the coach.
The meaningful forward balls are to create chances, so those are usually practiced a lot.

Perhaps Valverde's person and mentality disgusts me so much that I can hardly be objective anymore regarding his "tactics", but I have a strong feeling that he has a significant hand in what is happening at the midfield...

Along with having the proper players you also need to fix the movement on and off the ball.

Guys like Arthur thrive a lot when the team is moving around a lot same with De Jong. The problem won't get fixed until we finally do something about the movement of the team. De Jong I fear will also suffer the same issues as he's also a guy who thrives off people's movement.

I would have Busi above Rakitic and Suarez.

Glad most see much bigger problems than rakitic. He should go, but so should valverde (#1) and some other players. And no, suarez is not on the list, but we sure need a lot better alternatives to reduce his minutes.

Im out to watch my kid play a footy tournament, peace all.
