I think it's because it makes sense from all angles. Sevilla lose Banega and Raki is the perfect sub. He has connections to Sevilla and we want him out.

Easiest deal to make as you say. Let's hope Suarez and Vidal are soon to follow and that Messi's exit is fluid and soon so it does not distract further.

Thanks for a good 2014-2015 season and for that CL final goal.

Other than that I'm fucking happy that this fucking leech finally leaves this club , good riddance.

Leech for what exactly?

Always showed up to training, put a shift in on the pitch, was responsible off the pitch etc.

He aged and declined, but that is only natural. It was the club's responsibility to move him on earlier, not his as a motivated top level athlete to give up and tell the manager he wasn't going to play anymore if they selected him.

Cue you to make Rakitic look like a saint. He had his share of media drama (for a starting spot) and was not the most keen on leaving us in past seasons. Are we sweeping that under the rug?

He served us well for 3 seasons and he was baggage the other 3. When you go over the top like this and anoint him is when his flaws are going to be put front and center.

So called "media drama" were non-stories save for people like us that follow the club very closely. In grand scheme of things, during a Barca career that spanned 6 mostly successful years, it is not a factor. Club never got involved, lawyers never got involved, world football media did not pick it up. Again, only mattered to die hard fans that had a grudge against Raki to begin with.

Did not want to leave because club kept offering him extensions and every manager he had seemed to love him. Defending him for not being a "leech" like the other poster had suggested is not the same thing as glorifying him as a "saint."
