Jack Grealish

You guys clearly do not know what you are talking about here , to be fair .

He has been brilliant since he was a teenager - he was unfortunately with a very poor struggling team and when they did eventually get relegated he stayed with them instead of jumping ship - then more or less carried them back to the PL . He is been carrying them for the last 6 years or so . He?s a born and bred Villa lad who has just got to the stage where if he?s gonna be an England STARTER - he has to move to a top team .

He's not carried us for 6 years at all. Only in 2018 did he really kick on and start to perform consistently.

He's been the main focal point since 2018 but even when we got promoted he missed 15 league games through injury.

Listen i'm one of his biggest fans, but this notion that it was Jack Grealish FC is hilarious.

Loan with buy option wouldn't be bad. They certainly can afford him. Would be a good redemption opportunity for Cou.

Comparisons with Figo, well there are some "visual" similarities.

But what concerns me about Grealish is that Southgate used to sub him even when he would enter the match in the 80th minute.
Either Southgate was horribly wrong or Grealish has some huge flaws.
We'll figure it out at City.
Figo at Barca was 50% of a team.
Players used to say: whenever we didn't know what to do, we would just pass the ball to Figo and he would create something out of nowhere.

About Figo, I watched some old videos from Barca now and it is funny to see how a lot of these old generation of players used dribbles to score goals and get assists.
Aka = dribbles were a weapon for wins and end product.
While these new gen of players like Neyclown, Pogclown and similar are using tricks mostly for entertainment, Youtube compilations and to humiliate opponents.

mate, i don't shit on the guy. just think he isn't worth that much and don't find him exceptional.

also, he seems to be the classic type of english player that isn't willing to leave his comfort zone.

you can't argue that if he was the dogs bollocks, many clubs would have jumped on him 5-6 years ago. probably because he pulled some stupid shit outside the pitch?

anyway, it's city's money not mine.

I think that money is much, but we'll see how it plays out as he's even more expensive than Sancho (who is way younger by 4 years plus)

How is it that you managed to make this a "back in the old days" type post, AGAIN?
And secondly, most of the skills and dribbles in the video you posted didn't actually result in either assists or goals. lol

Having spent about 100M (Buendia, Ings and Bailey) already in this window while selling for 5? Grealish wont cover it all for them.

Maybe not then. But they've spent heavily these past few years. Going by that they should definitely afford that thrio and Coutinho, especially while selling Grealish.
I'm far from a Villa expert though, just speculating.

We have more money to spend. Think we are going to wrap up James Ward-Prowse in the coming days too. We spent 95 mill last year and 143 million the season before.

Our owners have a combined wealth of 10 billion, Wes Edens also owns the Milwaukee Bucks.

That was a video with dribbles only.
Here you go, a video with his goal.

But beware, those were the days BEFORE Pep forbid players to try long ranged drives because they have lower efficiency percentage.
You probably won't like it though.
He doesn't clown-dribble like Neymar and he shoots from distance ;)

Aston Villa quite rightly should be one of the elite clubs in the EPL. Hope they get there. Shame it will be without Grealish but I feel (and with respect) that they are at the point where they can lose him, sign around his departure and not be hindered too much.

For City, it is about tinkering with the new toy and moving the squad from a 9.1 to a 9.2. I don't think having Grealish or not having Grealish is the difference to win the CL given they were almost there last season and I don't see Grealish changing that result. But Pep gonna Pep. If they manage to get Kane, now that is what they need.

But like Pep said, they can't afford him...
