They sell 1,4 million shirts a year and receive 12 euros on 1 shirt sold. This is what they sell. If James sells 1 million of those they will still only sell 1,4 a year.

The shirts are not what matters - they are not important at all, they don't even pay Ronaldos salary. What image does is sell tv rights - they actually produce a profit. And then commercial too:
