Maybe James Rodriguez's price was a good one: Florentino Perez's company signs a 692m€ contract to build a motorway in Colombia

Now we know why Perez bought him, hopefully he will buy some more crap and destabilize madrid will be fun to watch.

Oh yeah Perez always does contracts for his own benefit. Somehow negociates that with the agents!

Its funny i was looking at his wikipedia page today and saw his personal fortune and mooted to myself if he signs players for personal gain. Madrid fans must love the management.

Problem for Perez now is he thought he is acquiring a sensation similar to Neymar in terms of marketing ability with Hames but Neymar is much more popular worldwide and with us having Messi(arguably the most popular footballer in the world), Neymar(upcoming sensation and Brazil's biggest star) and Suarez(third most popular south american footballer in the world) Perez has already lost the battle. So financially Barca have acquired the South American market and Real missed the trick in not acquiring Neymar(which they tried).

Perez had to compensate in buying Hames and buy the looks of it not looking good for Perez at least in terms with Real Madrid probably good for his other business but thats none of our concern, I wouldn't be surprised if we overtook Real Madrid this year as the most valuable sporting franchise(currently we are in second position to Real) in the world and our board has hit the jackpot with the recent signing as far as I can understand.

He is a businessman first and foremost making money with signing and showing that in the audit records will be his ultimate priority and success will be a secondary one for him. Thats the reason why he bought player after player after player(old and new galactico policy) and the fans deserve him since they elected him.

His company is building some type of highway or commercial building in Colombia now. Trust me, he doesn't care if Madrid are struggling on the field because he is prospering off the field.

The funny thing is that he conducts Real Madrid business with their revenues but it seems like he is getting some type of return on his personal fortune as he continues to build these types of relationships now with the countries of the players he brought.

He also has some type of relationship with a company in Germany after he brought Ozil in 2010 that came from that transfer.

I wonder if that's illegal... I mean we are in trouble for making "side" business with our transfers, so if there was a proof Flo's personal business are linked to players transfers could he be denounced/investigated?

He could, but won't. He is very powerful.

I wish some of the socios who are against him would grow some balls and have him investigated the way Rosell was. Even having someone prominent make noise about his dealings would bring attention to light.

Do you know how many Madridistas in Spain were happy last summer about the new "young, Spanish" direction the team was going. A year later and that plan was thrown out the window with Illara and Isco on the outside looking in. The comments on Marca are all angry Spaniards upset at Isco being snubbed for this guy.

I believe Florentino being the astute businessman he is has covered himself up pretty well so even if he has done something wrong and is investigated, nothing will be found.

Florentino Pérez: “I do not know how James plays. But he had a great World Cup and we wanted him here.”
