You know well what I meant, but if you want to act like a smartass so be it I guess.

As for your comment above, then I just pity you. That's all I'll say. Erasing history and symbolism like a true Modern Day 21st century man. Striving to be different and refreshing.

I feel very strongly about certain things. Legacy, history, symbolism. Other people just want to be different I guess.
Don't see what you're getting at. If you recognize respect for Barca's history in constant tries to replicate it, so be it. Do we have to mold FdJ and Arthur's career into Xavi and Iniesta's right from the start? I personally dislike such comparisons.

Possibly overreacted here, but I don't expect players to be somebody else's heirs. Nor do I like that image once it's created. I fail to notice where the lack of respect for Barca's history or, God forbid, desire to erase it lies.

I don't like to compare players to ATGs either, but I just feel very strongly about the symbolism of it, as well as the history and how someone like FdJ or a La Masia prospect who's spent years in the academy is more worthy of something like that than a rookie CB from outside, I mean a defender with absolutely no association to Barcelona, seriously? I don't want things to be different for the sake of being different or for the sake of being refreshing. Certain things should just continue the way it always have.

I'm not particularly religious, but it might stem from coming from a religious background or me just simply being all in on the romanticism and symbolism that exists in football and other things as well having been in a competitive environment.

It's just too wrong in my head and something I find hard to see past. I probably went overboard so I apologize for that, but I hope you understand my POV here.

It just looks wrong and feels wrong even if it's just a number for some of you. And I know I'm not the only one and that a lot of players and fans feel the same way.

Not everyone competes simply for the glory and the money. There's a lot of layers behind it.

No argument here. But I wonder why they dragged this on for so long and not have loaned him out when we could. Or at least register him to play for the B team to get some minutes.

Toulouse president was butthurt Todibo signed with us and demanded 10M at first. We've waited some time for him to calm down before started to negotiate again.

Don't know why we didn't register him for Barça B though, I've expected that. But his first 6 months here were always expected for Todibo to adapt and train with the first team more than about playing time. He'll have a chance to convince Valverde with good work in trainings over the next few months to count on him next season or we'll decide to loan him in summer.

I'm everything but a traditionalist, despite that, it's not that I don't understand what you're saying. Nor am I opposed to it. Number 6 suits the midfielders best. But the proportions the story would inevitably get, reminiscence of Xavi and Iniesta, would seem like a burden on their back. I don't like attempts to recreate history, often feel it's cheap marketing money which makes noone feel better. A young defender coming to Barca getting a six since there are no other options is interesting. A novelty which I don't think has to be corrected.

I often fight with hype in the media, cheap marketing and stories blown out of proportion. Even before things happen. Guess I can cross the line.

That's not the general case. Saying that a player being physically strong is not a good thing is wrong. Per se, it's a positive. Each case ought to be approached individually. Might serve as a trend, nothing more.

Yeah, i dont disagree with that. You are absolutely right.
