Why does this useless waste of space get to stay when our top scorer is released?

I've read he actually had offers from Elche and a couple of other teams but he's waiting till the Summer to Evaluate the offers.

Hard to believe at one time he was considered a great Prospect, But these days not so much not sure if it's him or his Development stalled.
