PSG is apparently close to signing him, I will laugh my ass off if they get him and we end up chasing overpriced/rated Coutinho.

Totally not the same type of player. Seri is more a defensive midfielder. He can play in the position of Busquets or Rakitic, but that still leaves iniesta's position open. Seri + Coutinho would be great.

Seri + Coutinho would be more than great but it's highly unlikely to happen. Seri + Dembele would also be fantastic.

I just hope we won't waste entire June on chasing unavailable players and than start to panic in July and sign crap in August. We have to start acting immediately.

What makes people say he is a DM? From highlights and match footage it looks like he's the exact type of interior needed at Barça. Calm, smart, got the techical abilities, makes and scores goals, too. If his price is <20M, then why not? I'd save the ~70M saved on Verratti and get Grimaldo back while also having money left for either Bellerin and Semedo, given that we can earn relatively good off Arda if he goes to China.

More likely Arda and Rafinha. If we indeed sell Arda I hope we sell him to Chinese. They would have no problem paying 50m for him.

I doubt we will get 40M for both, unlikely 60M for both and Gomes. That won't be enough to cover for Seri,Semedo & Coutinho along a CB and may be even winger
And I doubt Rakitic would be fine sitting on the bench for Seri & Coutinho. He was already linked with a move to PL before renewal. Can't see him staying in such situation as it won't make sense for him or the club

I think they said he played their before. Raki says he never played that position IIRC.

Grimaldo? the guy is made of glass, played well in small sample size and we have no need for him with Digna and Alba

Isn't Digne leaving anyways? When Grimaldo got back from his first and at that time only long-term injury (his knee, took his entire 12/13), he didn't really suffer from anything until he left to Benfica in January 16. Since then he's been unlucky with even some odd stuff like his stomach.

If we could've paid to get Thiago back two seasons after he left, even when he was still unstable to keep fit, I'd still have done it immediately. When the player finds the regular game rhythm without any rushes, the problems pass away. I'm sure it will happen to Grimaldo, too.

I also read Nasser Al-Khelaifi, scheduled a meeting with Seri next monday, to try and convince him to join PSG and not Barca. Considering he always dreamed of wearing our shirt and his main influence is Xavi. If we offer Nice and him a decent proposal he will likely join us.

Everything I read suggests PSG's interest is much more established than Barca's, so unless Barca step it up and move forward within the next week I could see PSG landing him tbh. It'd be ridiculous to lose him once he already announced his preference, nothing short of bad business. I hope that Valverde has or will give the go ahead on this ASAP, so that Barca can come up with a proper offer before Seri has the chance to potentially change his mind.

The more I read about this guy the more I want him. If we pass on him for some schmuck from La Liga I am going to smash my head against a wall.

EDIT: He signs for PSG and fast forward one year and we are linked with him for a 80 mil+ move.
