His career on the highest level is probably done. Mathieu will need plenty of time to recover even after the injury has healed.
A shame because he has become an important part of the team and the clear no.1 backup at CB. All of us like to make jokes about him but he is doing his thing. Get well!

Yeah, hopefully those to can shake the spiderwebs and finally show that they at least deserve a spot as backups in this team... This could be Bartra's last train...

And regarding FIFA or UEFA, well, they may have another sanction/fine/suspension they are waiting to gift us in compensation...

He'll be back in basically September having not played and totally out of match rhythm and the club is planning on buying a new CB this summer already. And unless he quits the smokes cold turkey the cigs will probably have an even larger role to play in his lack of fitness, only magnifying his age that will tick upwards to 33 shortly after his recovery...

I wonder if we'll ever see Mathieu in a Barca shirt again.

How often does he smoke anyway? I heard he does it like once or max twice a month. Shouldn't really affect him otherwise the people who smoke 1-2 packs a day would be dead already

Hope he comes back strong. 33 is quite OK for a cb and even if he doesn't get his spot back, he could be an emergency cb for us.

Yep, I can see Roberto being played out of position as LB backup now, and of course mocked and ridiculed if he makes mistakes and some people will probably demand a sale. Hell who knows, Roberto might step up as CB backup too. He's better in the air than Mascherano.
