Joan Laporta

Like been said before he runs everything through his emotions. Definitely the type of person to implode if it becomes too much. Will there ever be calmness surrounding the club? There's always turbulence, no matter who the president is.

I hope that in 2026 we will get a new president. We need a young and competent president who will have a clear vision. The way Laporta handles things recently is simply disgraceful.

Not until Barca move past the Laporta/Rosell duopoly.

Corrupt, financially inept and emotionally driven clowns who have led this club into disaster.

Laporta struck gold with Pep and the golden generation of La Masia coming through at at the same time. It's clear he's not capable of doing it like Florentino Perez has done with Madrid.

Ronaldinho was his rocketship. IMO the most important transfer in Barca history this century. The 2nd CL in 2006 was turning point in the mentality of the club which lasted until Anfield 0-4.

And even that was kind of a fluke. As he wanted to get Beckham but that failed and went for Ronaldinho instead.

This guy lucked out big time.

Beckham in his documentary and interviews admitted he never wanted to play for FC Barcelona, but Real Madrid. Sir Alex wanted to sell him to Barca.

Not including post anfield or close games
Should include tie outcome in this. Wouldn't include 2016/17 PSG matches in the narrative as we proceeded to the next round. Atletico Madrid were close games as well.

Liverpool, Roma and Bayern are the three big blows of the 2010's. But the team was always in the winner conversation, given the 2015 CL triumph. I don't want to talk about the complacency in 2017/18 and 2018/19. That's Valverde stuff.
