1:1 rule means any amount the club earns from transfers, sponsors, sales, tickets etc. must at least equal the expenditure in salaries (players & staff), transfers, bonuses, agent fees.

Exactly.

Which means that in the summer we won't be able to buy unless people leave to free up space in our total expenditure
But you will instantly be over it again if you sign a valuable player no?

Can we sign a 40m fullback for example and give him say 10m gross a season?

Aparrently no.

So, it's still a penalty. You spend only what you can save. Remains to be seen how much we can save, considering the highest rated players we have are valuable members of the team.

We need to add top players on top of the top players we already have in the squad.

It's not a penalty.
It's regulation: you can't spend more than your total income.
Applies to all teams, Madrid included

The 1:4 was a penalty, for instance, because it was forcing you to spend only 25% and not 100% of the space you freed up

But their income is much higher. And their squad is already elite.

Sounds like a penalty to me.

Whether their income is higher is irrelevant.
Barca should find ways to increase its own income

Rule applies to all: you can't spend more than your income.

PS: City for instance cheated, and are facing 113 charges, because they masked as 'income' straight cash injections from Abu Dhabi. Called also financial doping

OK, so it's the same rule and Madrid don't have to save anything because they have a lot more income than us. Thank you for clearing that up.

View it basically as monitoring throughout every transfer window by LFP. Until they close.

I'm roughly guessing we were minus 50m that we didn't fit in 1:1 due to Barca Vision, now that we sold VIP boxes for 100m, now we are plus 50m. If we sign a deal with Coca-Cola for 250m tomorrow, we'd be 300m above the salary cap by Friday, once reviewed by LFP.

From this point I assume we can only get better? I mean the revenue should be going up from this point and wages will be going down, no? Especially backpayments to players that are not here anymore.

Revenue from 'levers', meaning from selling assets is an one-off most of the times, and is not every year in the books

We are all out in defence of our agent Laporta. Full support for Don Juan ✊🏻

Yeah. Support for Blanco La Liga, Spanish FA and referee association.

Look, another completely fair decision to ban Vinicius for 2 matches when rules clearly state minimum 4.

Who knows, maybe in second part of season some team might actually get that 1st penalty against Madrid. But maybe not. Maybe they are going for a record?

Only the aggression towards the referee after the card was shown, and his move towards him (in a clear attempt to hit him), would have had any other player banned for half the season
