🐑Hail The Great Joan Laporta
It’s quite funny too how La Liga doesn’t realize that its bureaucracy and corruption is acrually harming the league’s reputation abroad.Yes, I wrote this yesterday as well. The chance is high that the registration will become permanent in April. And even if not, not being able to play in April and May is a far less bad than not being able to play for half a season. It's a big win for Laporta and the club in any case, it can just get bigger from this point.
The main argument is, if I understand correctly, LaLiga's articles 130.2 and 141.5 don't allow a player to be registered twice in case a club decides to cancel the registration, for example because of a longer injury, fills the free spot with another player and then swaps again as soon as the player is fit.
It is aimed at a club de-registering the player. But they don't specify the rules, if LaLiga themselves takes away the registration as they did with Olmo and Pau. Now the court must decide, if the articles apply also for Olmo's and Pau's case or not.
But if the court allowed the temporary registration, then there is at least a strong doubt about it.
I don’t see it that way.Not really...
Most here are unaware of legal workings.
The court did not go into the essence of the matter, precisely because they DONT go into the essence if the decision is on a PRECAUTIONARY basis. Hence we don't know if the case Barcelona is presenting is strong or not.
The precautionary measure is given simply because:
Barca presents a legal case against LL's decision. Hence it is merely formally registered that Barca is challenging LL on the issue, and that Barca have its interests (sporting, financial, etc.) threatened by LL decision on the non registration.
There is a reason the leaks were all saying Barca will get the precautionary measure.
It would have been very hard for the court to reject the precautionary registration.
It would have meant that the court thought that Barca does not have an interest from a legal pov or that they failed to formally challenge LL decision
It’s quite funny too how La Liga doesn’t realize that its bureaucracy and corruption is acrually harming the league’s reputation abroad.
Who cares how many times a club registers a player? It just seems like a rule designed to enable corruption, destruction, and potentially irreparable harm to the league and the very clubs the league should protect. Or am I missing something?
Revista and live La Liga games on Sky was so good. I used to watch Premier League from the early 90s at my gran and grandad's when Sky (then BSkyB) started it with the disgraced Richard Keys and Andy Gray. Obviously Sky has sort of ruined football now but back then it was fresh and exciting to watch live football as before that we used the radio a lot. Looking back the quality of football was very inferior to now (in England) but at the time it was a marvel to watch.La Liga at the turn of the 2010's quite honestly could have been in a position to be the top league worldwide both by quality and viewership, it used to get heavily watched in the UK too and had shows like Revista de La Liga and was one of Sky Sports main offerings alongside the PL. Barca & Madrid were super strong, Atletico uprising, Sevilla, Villarreal and Valencia all strong teams as well as Bilbao, Malaga etc.
Basically all of that has been unpicked by a man on a FFP crusade in the age of billionaire owners. Clubs like France and Germany etc are selling middle of the road talents for like 60 million and getting to reinvest that whilst in La Liga clubs like Sevilla sell to Bournemouth and one of Europe's former powerhouses and one of La Liga's main protagonists have to jump through hoops to register signings.
You are missing a lot.
The rule if anything is helping: it allows you to use salary space of injured players to register some other player.
If there were no such rule, Tek would have not been here after Stegen's injury for instance
Saying allowing as many registrations possible is non-sensical.
Olmo's registration was provisional, and everyone knew it ends on a specific date
Being allowed to use salary space from an injured player to register another player has nothing to do with La Liga setting a cap on how many times a player may be registered. This bureaucratic red tape causes irreparable harm to the league’s reputation abroad and harms our club. And that’s what Tebas and his cronies want.
This bureaucracy is what is non-sensical; a million rules which may be interpreted a million different ways and for what purpose? Again, To harm us.

You are burning, brah. So mad Olmo got temporarily registered. I really don't mind if people are going to wish bad on the club to protect their own opinion and hence status as some sort of footballing luminary. But at least don't be lecturing others in the future as to how they are not Cule enough for you.
You've made yourself popular with the Madrid trolls here though. Likes, back and forth. Says it all.
Let’s agree to disagree.LOL
Dude, don't swallow so easily Laporta's propagandist shit
Saying that LL is buraucratic and FFP implemented is too much and harming Spanish teams in general is one thing, and we can discuss it,
Saying that they devised a rule just to sabotage Barca is totally another thing and its groundless to say the least
No, you misunderstood me.
I wanted Olmo to get registered w/o problems, and I want this clown to stop tarnishing the image of the club with his antics.
But he keeps doing it, and you keep worshipping like the blind sheep you are.
I can't stay silent in such situations.
PS: Madrid trolls will always be trolls and switch sides whenever they can according to what suits their agendas.
I have always been on the same side, and warned from day 1 about Fatporta's shortcomings.
But the sheep kept grazing

This voice maintains a complicit silence, I think he's hinting at papa Perez actually agreeing with Barca on this one and called in a favor to his friends.
