Nonsense..

They corrected La Masia and it is what it is now.

There were a lot of players given chances they were just not good enough until those changes came to fruition.

Likes of Grimaldo fell out with Lucho and refused to go on loan.

There were more La Masia debuts than previously and in addition to no top top young players it was about hardest Barca ever to break into for large spells.

Cucurella developed a lot away from Barca on his loans and got some money for him. Similar to Nico really.

Thiago wanted to play with Pep and Barca were too fair too him if anything in not insisting he played enough to stop his clause.

It was before Laporta that Ansu was Barcas youngest ever scorer.. as soon as players good enough were there they were given chances.. Pedri not La Masia but was in at 17/18.

Araujo was playing, likes of Mingueza was coming from nowhere as team needed him.

Major changes ahead, gentlemen. During our next term, we’re renaming Gava to Gavi.

And we’ll sue google maps if they don’t follow suit.

Martin Presa (Rayo Vallecano president): "During Matchday 37 last season, Laporta talked to me about signing Hansi Flick and was certain that he could enhance the team. It was a brave personal decision from Laporta."

That was around the time he had that infamous presser when he (CRINGE!)was hugging Xavi and Xavi was scratching his chest?

LMAOL
What a lying POS
How can any culer trust this moron anymore?

Ach well he saw through Xavis politcal games and fake resignation to keep himself in a job in the end.

Now it is largely irrelevant when it happened. Just praise be to the lord it did.

I see the usual suspects continue to disrespect one of the biggest Barca legends ever and a Championship winning manager.

Nah he was done last season and correct to move on.

Thankfully happened.

Others have 'disrespected' coaches who won more and better players..

Likes of Pedri are delighted he is gone. Clearly.

It's not disrespect to objectively judge his tenure as a manager

Not even his most outspoken critics on here question his legendary status

Yes, his tenure as a manager is that of a champion also. We're working hard this season to become champions again.

Indeed but 100% correct to get rid of him last season and overall tenure was not great. Winning 1 league and being so poor in Europe etc is not great.
Even getting knocked out early in cups then worst defeat in decades at home to Real etc.

Can thank him for title won in way most dont really want to watch Barca but won it was and he gets credit for it.

Hopefully he gets a decent job off back of it.

Last season he didnt seem mentally all there at times.

Good all round Laporta had enough of his talking for his own ends time and again.

Of course you replace the manager if the manager is not fully motivated anymore. Still, in his 2 completed seasons, he won the league title by a huge difference to 2nd place, and almsot got the team in CL semis.

Not due to lack of motivation he was just too negative and everything was a tinge of self preservation.

The comments were specifically about last season.

In my opinion Xavi was too negative - tactics, excuses every time, telling fans to temper expectations, rushing back players, not developing players much etc.

He had to go.

Can say that and thank him for league title even if think made a lot of mistakes outwith that also.

Maybe he just cared too much and it got to him mentally as he was acting in strange way a lot last season.

Anyway hopefully he gets a decent job from it and his brother etc are dumped or if not have improved.

'Almost to the semis' not that great. Folding to a bang average PSG side and best side beat in CL being an imploding Napoli is not great shakes.
