Not a bad cameo. Looks motivated, moved around with a lot of freedom (should be the case if we want to get the best out of him imo), pressed well and helped in defense. Also nice through ball for Raphinha in the end.

Effortless through ball. What you want the mids to be able to play when the opening is there. Romeu had a few easier ones open up but had a squeeky bum. And we all know Gavi refuses to play them, while Pedri does but a half second too late.

That AML/4th midfielder spot is ripe for him to grab if he works hard and can put it all together- finally.

Part of the loan agreement, so that he both lowers wages and increases contract spend to decrease amortization.

It was one of the conditions for Atleti to allow him to go on loan. Obviously Tebas wouldn't like us using this loophole. And he didn't, because they valued his salary cap space to us anyways at 8m/yr .
