John Stones

Considering the offers he made Everton rejected ,I am not sure he will be in our price range

certainly wouldn't be value for money, the English obsession for players comfortable on the ball shouldn't mask the fact that defensively he has a lot to learn.

Would the price chelsea was willing to pay not have been majorly inflated due to the fact chelsea are minted and league rivals of everton. I expect if barca made a move for him we could get him a good bit cheaper even potentially send munir etc to them or give up our buy back option on deulofeu

With Pique being a fan of Stones and it appears we are sending scouts to watch him How does everyone feel about Stones?

Forget him, sign Laporte if you're going to spend lots on a young defender. Either Laporte or Marquinhos(who's not a realistic option anyway).

I don't know if Piqué really rates Stones. It's probably the only English player he could've forced into that line-up without making a complete ass out of himself.

If a deal was to take place I wouldn't be surprised if it was along those lines but I think he's too early for Barca and before he's ready we will sell him probably to Chelsea. Normally when players hand in a transfer request they are sold within 6m-12m even if it's rejected.

Can someone describe what kind of player Stones is and if he's actually "the real deal"?

I don't watch Everton's EPL-games, would be great if you can tell me more about this player :)

I watch the EPL every week. From what I have seen of Stones he is exactly like Pique but a bit faster. Same build. Both ball playing defenders. Pique is a better passer but both like to run with the ball and play. Stones is the real deal and I am not surprised Chelsea were and probably still will be after him. Has got everything.

Chelsea has a policy of buying young talents and then loaning them and even selling them at times and Everton already done deals with them .so in long term Everton are more likely to do deals with them than Barca
I highly doubt we will get him any cheaper than Chelsea
