He was almost like a winger in his first season imo. He scored quite a few. Maybe I remember wrongly tho, but he most definetley used to better attacking wise.

Tito then. Perhaps the way he setup the team worked better for Alba.

In his first season he had 5 goals here. He was always wasteful, but still much better than he is now. And that's no excuse with how our system benefits from Messi hitting diagonals out left. I hope a backup and some regular rest will benefit him, but I'm not holding my breath.

barca 's best player at the moment.. a cobstant threat on the left.. i laughed at the comments above.. you want a left defender to 1- defend 2- never miss a cross 3- score 4- run 11 km per game with multiple sprints.. lol good like finding this will never exist left back

Marcelo doesn't run. He doesn't defend either. He just attacks and is good at it. (Marcelo is the second least distance covering outfield player in the Madrid squad)

Having 2 attack minded lb&rb in the field at the same time is bad combination, imo. Unless atleast one of them is a workaholic and is superb defender and good going forward when it's needed. When Abidal was our lb, he was awesome, he covered a lot while Alves was attacking. Oh my goodness, do you guys remember when our team was made by these kind of players:
