As I was affraid it would happen he's lost without Messi offensively. And he was never that good defensively and is only getting worse in that aspect as well. Now only thing missing is for him to also lose speed (he already did some but is still relatively fast; at least comparatively to most of the team) and he'll be more useless than Busi and Pique.

Sell to Newcastle.

Exactly, this is something we need to be better at. Notice the point when it's all downhill for a player and then SELL. We usually overuse these veterans and then we sell them for nothing or they sit on the bench rest of their contract, instead of selling them while they still have some value.

Sell while they have some value and they are obviously going downhill.

I think the best way to use him going forward is to have a more defensive role for him, where he doesn't constantly make the left flank overlap, since he's useless without Messi anyway. He's still fast enough for most average games and can be useful till we can get a replacement LB, although he's not great at defending. Problem is, we would then need an attacking RB, which we don't have either, and you can't have two defensive fullbacks. Hence, I'm afraid it's status quo for the foreseeable future.

Imagine how much Jordi would be disliked if he played for another club?

Probably why most cules empathized with Kound?

He would be on top of my list of most "hated" players alongside likes of Casemiro.

Obviously if he'd play for another big club, not for Levante or Getafe so I wouldn't care too much about him except for a few games every year we'd play against him. And tbh I doubt he'd really made a big career outside of Barca if he wouldn't sign for us. Messi was the one who made him look much better than he really is for years. Happened with other players too of course but he was the one who benefited the most playing alongside Messi imo so no surprise he's now lost without him. There are also some clear signs of physical decline that was expected to come sooner or later as well. And paired with his fragile mentality we get current version of Alba. And it will only get worse from here on so really hope we can bring someone like Gaya who is ready to push him for his spot in the lineup if Xavi doesn't think Balde is ready.

His decision making is just atrocious. No patience, no curiosity, no intent. Half the time he gets it it's like he goes "oh well Messi's not here so what does it even matter" and just punts it straight into the defender in frustration. Child-like mentality.
