Really? What if a Diego decided to cross instead of shoot? It was really unexpected for him to shoot and Pinto was preparing for the most possible outcome of that play...

As I said, Pinto was caught off guard, but it was that surprise element which allowed Diego to score...

I thank him for everything he has done for Barça but I don't think the club should renew him. He still makes the occasional great save but he's way too unreliable and everytime he has the ball on his feet, the crowd trembles with fear.

He should cover the side where the attack is coming from, thats common knowledge for every goalkeeper. With this I dont mean he should abandon the other side, he was just an step or 2 mispositioned and that made all the difference he barely touched the ball with his fingers. That tiny lack of concentration in a closed tie can be the deciding factor

Unstoppable shot. He did well to get near to it.

Diego turns and shoots in one quick movement. Great goal. The way he cut across the ball made it too hard to predict. It was a rocket.

It wasn't unstoppable. It was his near post, if you look at the replay he takes two short pointless steps towards the post before throwing himself. Had he lunged to his left as soon as he saw the direction of the ball, he would have made it. Curtois or Valdes would probably save it 8/10 times I think.

Not to take anything away from the goal though, it was absolutely insanely good.

Commentator yesterday said: "Pinto plays like lucky fan who was recently promoted to be a GK" It's funny and sad at the same time.
