I honestly feel like he lost something when he left Inter. He just doesn't have the same spark as before. Doesn't help that none of the teams he's handled since will go to a war for him like mid-00s Chelsea and 09-10 Inter.

Those 3 seasons at RM made him 10 years older mentally. He aged a lot during that period. A bit like Pep.

To be honest then I think that we football fans have overrated Chelski's team this season. It's really not as great as we are led to believe. Courtois and Hazard are world class but other than that I don't see as many talented individuals as those PSG have at their disposal for instance.

Keep Hazard at bay and Chelski will struggle to create much against top teams.

Too bad winning PL is very easy otherwise it would be another trophy less year. Now he will get a double after two seasons of nothing.

They lost a leader in the middle when Lampard left. He wasn't an amazing player but he had some quality and he cared about the club. All there is in front of Cahill and Terry now is a load of mercenaries. They'll never fight for Mourinho like the old Chelsea did.

Maybe not only mentally, physically as well. Pep looked much younger and healthier when he took over, dont know about Mourinho.

Agree on the first part.

Is the team overrated? I don't think so. IMO it's a well balanced team with some splendid players like Matic, Azpilicueta or Oscar. Yesterday was one of the few times where Mourinho alone was responsible for his team's demise. Even for him that was too defensive. Remember that a vastly inferior Chelsea team got to the semis last year.

Still, technically speaking Chelsea didn't concede a goal from open play. Conceding from two corners is untypical for a Mourinho team, but you could argue that his defensive set piece organisation since his time at Madrid hasn't been as good as usual.

I guess he'll be leaving Chelsea soon. Abramovic will definitely be unhappy about that performance.

Too much is being made out of nothing. It's futbol. One day your great and next your garbage. The CL is like to World Cup, too many variables decide if you win or lose. You can't win them all.

Heh, if it was Barcelona being knocked out at the last 16 there would be a much bigger deal being done about it.

Hope, we get past Man City with not problems. We've had a very good CL record the past years.
