Josep Maria Bartomeu

Google it, you'll find plenty. Barto had a meeting with Freixa, Vilarrubi and other board members hours before calling elections. He wasn't keen on doing it. Messi's actions had a good weight in helping Freixa, deliberately or not. The board is torn for a while now, and Freixa is one that lost a lot since barto became the president.

He knows he can find it in the world wide web instead of just arguing with you on that left and right

Frexia was ousted from the power by Barto, what makes you think he has a such influence over board members. There are 1-2 articles about Frexia being so brave and forcing Barto to call re-elections, but let's face the fact that Frexia himself is running for president and could be part of his campaign.

Freixa has his own motivations, and it's all politics. Freixa's stilla board member, he just lost his spokeperson position. But the scenery back then helped him a lot. Messi missing training and liking chelsea's ig just showed how Messi's influence is really huge. Freixa just took advantage of it. I don't think he's any kind of savior, or anything like that. But he was the one pushing Barto to call elections, along with Vilarrubi. Barto didn't want to do it, he had to.

If Laporta is so corrupt you can vote for Agusti Benedito. I like what he has been saying and his vision.

But Barto? Not a chance in hell

Even if we win "El Triplete" this season it will be hard to forget the institutional mess that this board has largely been guilty of especially when Rosell was the president. Bartomeu being his right hand during that whole time does not make it any better.

Having said that then Bartomeu has done a lot of things right in recent months. Especially after Anoeta. We even won the first real legal battle under his tenure recently when MCM's lawsuit was dropped. He has done a lot of grassroots work locally too and in general been active. Of course this is natural in an election year but that does not make it any less praiseworthy.

His interview with Barça TV that he conducted along with Jordi Mestre was also positive earlier this night.

Most importantly I fell that he might have the best team (read board) at his disposal. A board is after all not made up by the president alone. In fact presidents often tend to be figureheads more than anything else.

Currently the board has many experienced people. Laporta's candidature and possible board on the other hand is still rather shady if not very shady so it will be seen what kind of team he will be able to construct. Many of his key allies that contributed to making his tenure so successful are now either not at his disposition (Sala-i-Martin) or have jobs elsewhere (City). I don't like the rumors that link Laporta and his candidature with a shady figure like Jorge Mendes either.

If Bartomeu has learnt from his past mistakes, continues to try and clean up the mess and continues to do the job as in recent times I might be willing to give him another chance. At least he should be allowed to run provided that the Neymar case ends in his and Rosell's favor which I have my doubts about.

If Laporta manages to create a powerful team once again there won't be any doubt in my mind who I would vote for but if that does not happen for whatever reasons I will have a slight doubt especially if Bartomeu continues on this path. So for now my signature will remain.

Bartomeu has done an alright Job as president in Rosell's place but I highly doubt he stands a chance of being elected

Fixed it for you as he was never actually elected yet . Im not his biggest fan but i have to say he is doing quite a good job lately with steadying the ship if he bowed to.pressure in janurary and sacked lucho would we be in the position we are today. and at the end of the day in a few years all the legal procedings will be forgotten about and his era will be rememberd for the trophies we won

He has certainly done better in his year than Rosell did in four

He said that , in order to finance the stadium renovation, new arena and the surrounding areas, the so called Espai Barça, Barcelona are willing to add a brand name to the stadium name. 200M for 10/15 years.
I agree with the idea but not with the values. It should be more. Even more with this reborn of the team.
I know that many of you think this a travesty but football has changed a lot in the 10 years since Abramovich, Bosman and oil tycoons. Money is needed. And the debt paying plan is working just fine.

Just my 2 cents.

10-15 years isn't that much. Hopefully, they'll negotiate the best possible deal this time. Club needs to capitalize on this era and Messi as much as they can.
Shirt sponsorhip was a travesty. Promoting shady organization for less than other heavyweights get for their shirt-sponsorships.
