Josep Maria Bartomeu

Alves quotes were the closest we'll get to what the players think of this board, actually. Also Messi's quote about Faus.

You think there are no quotes of players praising board? Bet I can find some.

Can remember Messi father even praising Sandro.

I am sure Neymar praised Barto this season.

Absolutely, which, again, makes what Dani did quite revolutionary...Plus, the way he conducted himself throughout his time wearing the shirt is really legendary as well - he has shown great respect & been quite honest and consistent in his press conferences

Imagine if Valdes had done a pressy before leaving?

Feel like I have defended Alves to the hilt but how he has not been consistent.

He claimed it was all about lack of respect and board new what to do to keep him. The board just reiterated its stance held firm and he changed his mind.

As much as I love Alves he was trying to apply pressure to get more money or a longer contract and he back tracked not the club.

I remember Neymar using Barto's name to escape a question about on whose side he was on, Messi's or Enrique's. Players actually praising Barto, I don't recall. Please post the quotes if you have them.

Ok will have a look.

Just to be clear on this I wont be devestated if Barto loses or Laporta wins. Just dont think Barto has been the disaster it is made out to be.

I accept Neymar case is a problem and have said that.

Transfer ban I agree with Laporta and Cruyff on that they were right to fight.

The majority of other things people go on about I dont agree as being all that clear cut - Abidal, Thiago, Qatar etc.

You've said the Neymar case, if true because you've been adamant in continuing to give them the benefit of doubt, if true then it's a case of not deliberate, or an honest mistake, or being misled by others. Again, not willing to put the blame on the culprits but allow them all manners of excuses.

The transfer ban case I don't know why you're bringing Laporta and Cruyff into it. They had knowledge of FIFA investigation and did nothing up until they got slapped with the ban. Mismanaged to the very end.

The mismanagement of the club, of players, the image, the team, all the evidence is there but again you want to dismiss it and/or ignore it and continue to give them benefit of the doubt. All's well though, the team won the treble so everything else that occurred prior can now be forgotten.

Or maybe he wanted the respect he's been asking for since last year which he even underlined in his presser. Who says that he only wants money? He could've accepted another club's offer if it had been about money.
And who says that he didn't accept Barca's offer because he is fully commited to the team? Which other purposes should his statements regarding the difference between club and team have?

I speculate but so do you. I use his presser from 2 weeks ago as reference point. What do you have to offer?

Barto hasn't been a disaster. He managed well as a garbageman, trying to clean all the mess. Thing is, he helped to make that mess.

As I said you are exactly the same on the opposite extreme and give no credit for anything.

I honestly dont agree the club has been a huge mess. Neymar case aside and the transfer ban to an extent where they tried to keep a major element part of what La Masia was about going.

As for Qatar, Abidal, Thiago, Cruyff I think the club could have acted better in some way but it is not as black and white as people make out.

I find it a bit hypocrytical when people say all these things then want Laporta who used club money to spy on players, had more shady Brazilian deals, put his mistress on the club wage roll, supposedly paid for prostitutes on club card, tried to make multi million deals for his own company through his own company for Barcelona tours etc.

I accept both have had failings but both brought a lot as well. Even for all that listed above for Laporta I would still see him back at club.

In reality this is a Laporta v Bartomeu debate if you support one over the other.

Bartomeu just renewed a treble winning coach. It's pathetic some people can't be happy about it and give credit.

There you go, being perfectly fine with criticizing Laporta based on rumors and speculations, but totally unwilling to criticize Rosell/Bartomeu because "it's not as black and white". I think you're guilty of the hypocrisy you allude.

More generic answers with nothing really said. Carry on.

I said plenty already, none of which is generic.
