I don't think anyone expects all kids from La Masia to end up at the first team or the B team, we're bound to sell many of them, and no harm will be done because of it, so in that sense he made a good point. But that sentence goes beyond what's correct or incorrect and creates an impression that he thinks La Masia is a moneymaker for the club (which he may or may not really think), which makes it a downright stupid things to say, whatever the intended meaning was. He's not the sharpest tool in the shed, this guy. These are sensitive topics, and anyone who's reasonable is walking on eggshells in these situations. He, on the other hand, seems to tend to spurt out whatever is on his mind. And it wasn't even an answer to a question, as far as I can tell. So it's not as if he was cornered and had to say something about it. He just announced that like a campaign slogan. What a tool.
