Pep saved Laporta big time when he was managing the club poorly and it was in a worse state than now.

Completelly agree..though it's too bad that Tata couldn't doo the same with Rosell, wouldn't you say so? Then maybe he wouldn't be the first Barca president to get the the club indicted in 115 years.

He was saved by Pep so he has been bailed. The only resort for this board is that they pull a Pep with Lucho

Which is what they are trying to do but even then it needs to be kept in perspective.

The team lost the league on last day of season, lost Cup Final to Real and were knocked out of CL by a strong Atletico team.

This is not disaster time!

They are a few players away from being top team in world again. The b team is one of youngest in years and third in the league. While the youth teams are winning trophies at every level it seems.

If you compare it to the Pep team you will never look on what the team are doing favourably. But that was a freak time where everything came together and will never be repeated.

Interesting that you dont care about abuse of power then.

Laporta was saved by Pep and the standard of the first team dropped far lower than at any time recently. While they neglected a b team to one of its lowest league standings in 20 years and were planning on knocking down the Ministadi.

While the top players in their primes were out of control.

Pep saved Laporta big time when he was managing the club poorly and it was in a worse state than now.
Pep saved Laporta and achieved success but left under current board, guess why? You have no idea what you are talking about.

Pep had to escape this sinking ship controlled by morons.

Pep left as he was no longer motivating the team and stayed longer than he initially expected. At Barcelona managers dont last much longer than that ever.

You have no idea what you are talking about and are totally ignoring why he left and why he said he left which matched the statements he was making from the day he walked into the job.

Stop trying to rewrite history and speak for Pep to suit a poor assumption.

you do realize that Pep was given full freedom to do as he thought fit with the squad and that confidence is why he thrived the same thing the board didn't put in Tata or Pep for that matter because I don't accept the Pep stepping down for a change of scenery BS

It's not disaster, but it could've been much better, if this board had a clear project. I don't know if zubi's the most inept, or if it's all of them. But they could had done much better. Instead, as Maria just pointed out, this could be the first board to get the the club indicted in 115 years.

It could have been better I agree but what they have been guilty of - as almost all successful teams are - is hanging on to the players and system that brought them success for too long.

Exact same happened to Cruyff time as manager and in Laportas time as president. It happens all the time.

Now is the crunch time they have to get it right though.

Oh, so you believe motivation was the only reason he left and not that the board didn't let him to make changes on his own?

You are avoiding facts to suit your opinion of the board not being a disaster.

I am believing Peps words and how they matched what he said from day one and how this fits in with the pressures/expectations of managing Barca as seen in clubs history.

But you know what Pep really meant though eh?

The history tells us that Rosell is the only club president that promissed to make Pep our Fergusson and the only club president with whom Pep signed only 1 year contracts. From there everybody is free to draw their own conclusion.

Not could, this really is the first board to get the club indicted..and let's not forget that next year we might not be able to make any transfer and from 2016 a new stadium will be build and atleast 600M euros will be spend..and since 2010 no CB has been bought. But aparently we're overreacting and we're just fine, unlike in 2008 when Laporta almost destroyed the club.

Everything Pep did in job and how long he stayed matched his words from day one and matched how difficult it is to stay at Barca for any length of time.

He was in his own words exaughsted and struggling to motivate team.

Haha typical.

All press stories are bullshit until one comes along that suits your argument.

I could post links that say Messi/Pique etc had stopped speaking to Pep and Messi opened can of Coke in his face......... means nothing.
Typical bullshit response.

Messi opened a can of coke in his face? Of course it means nothing because he loves Pep as his own father. People do anything in emotions.

It has nothing to do with managing the club, it's personal.
