Danger Ahead
So was there supposed to be some press conference from someone tonight? Has there been no more news about this? Kind of surprising, thought this would be all over the press by now.

I want a new board! :barca scarf:

Previously they said that they didn't do anything wrong, so now they are ashamed to say something publicly.

Don't know where Rossel's thread has gone. However, we had some people here backing up Rossell and his management.

I think in every football fan's life there is a time where you agree that the sport is fucked up by corruption, money, politics and all.

If you want to have a look who Teixeria is (Rossel was his best man at his wedding, they have a great relationship since Rossel's time at Nike), have a look at the pretty oldy but goldy documentary and some other websites.

Just before the World-Cup it is the more important to know that how great and beautiful the game might be, the shenanigangs on and around it are disgraceful!

For Rossel, as long as the courts haven't spoken, we can't judge him. But do you really believe this guy is super clean?

Disgraceful official statement following Fàbregas' departure.

Even you, Galning? :p

Is this?
But despite glowing starts to each campaign, Cesc’s contributions to the cause gradually decreased as each season drew to a close. From being someone who joined in with the attack, supplying and scoring goals, the magic tended to fade later on in each season. He only scored one, six and one goals in the last 24 games of each season. For some reason, he was never as good in the second half of a season as in the first.

I think it could've been avoided, but to me it seems their motive for selling him. They put it there so people would know why. And it's not a lie.

Still, I think it's inappropriate. Teams shouldn't give a reason why they sell a player. If they want to be transparent towards the socis they could start with not lying about transfer fees.
They should say, great player this Cesc Fàbregas guy, thanks for your time, thanks for giving it your all, best of luck, and move on. This seems childish but then again it's Rosell's board so I'm not surprised.

Edit: after reading the comments in the Fàbregas thread I can say that I'm not on the same page as the others and more on yours. With disgraceful I meant it was a terrible statement but I don't think it's the end of the world as some others.

The article is different in Catalan and Castellano apparently. Without the mudslinging part.

Yeah, it's inappropriate. It was in a different article, though. There was one for the thank yous, etc. And one for the stats with these words.

No, it says the same:

Yeah. It's the same in all languages. Seems intentional. They said that in their defense. They did the same after Zlatan's transfer.

Probably to avoid the press from crucifying the club for selling the prodigal son. Probably would have been better if they explained it in a press conference. But to be honest, everyone would be looking for a reason to why he was sold if they didn't mention it.

When I read this I have to hand it to Perez. He couldn't stand Mou but was still noble and smart enough not to make enemies. I guess that comes with being astute businessman as opposed to our group of petty "men" who run the club.

Disgraceful treatment by the club. The guy came back and did everything he could to prove himself, yet he's kicked out like a rat. I'm 100% sure it was not his idea to leave, not for a second. He was forced out.
