I can't believe no one is talking aabout the Kubo fiasco.
a player formed in la masia went to madrid on a free transfer.......
a player who could end up being one of japan's best players of all time
a player who's already shinning for madrid
Bartomeu was so caught off guard that he ended up having to buy a japanese player to make it look as if he wasn't actually caught offguard and was being the more strategic person
Florentino perez has made bartomeu his b^#$c
Bartomeu shoudl have resigned after this

He is shining for madrid and season isnt started yet, how

Institutional values where Casillas left from the back door, CR7, their second biggest legend ever left with just an appreciation video, and Zidane publicly calls for Bale's transfers despite the guy scoring 2 game winning CL goals for them. Not to mention the countless number of their legends who've left disgraced. Not to mention Sergio 'Documentary' Ramos and his shenanigans last season v Ajax. Not to mention the Lopetegui Spain WC fiasco.

Barca doesn't represent much these days but let's not pretend Madrid isn't a rotten apple either. Peak Wolfe trolling.:lol:

But cheer up, another Clasico hammering is on the calendar soon, I guess. :crbust:

That's true. At least we gave great farewell for Iniesta and Xavi .

Lovely, slanders without any counter-arguments, classic barcaforum reply.
Tell me where is the salt and denial? He 100% clearly left out of pity, someone in the club got him really mad to make him do such a move, where do you see the denial? He is literally gonna get paid 1m a year for half a decade, this is a week for Messi, this is nothing if he becomes what you are talking about, where is the denial exactly?

What do you mean he left 'out of pity'? Who pitied who? You mean spite? If it's the latter then sure.

I didn't say anything about Kubo becoming anything.

He is just another example of Barca board's lack of commitment to a project of any sort. Part of the reason why you don't get your hands on anybody decent for your bench and barely anyone for your youth setup and then end up wondering why Inter won't buy Rakitic or Rafinha and would rather splash on Lukaku. Players and other clubs don't see Barca as a good business partner like they used to. Only those who unconditionally love the crest join you. Not even about the motto anymore either.

Yes out of spite, used the wrong word, still waiting for you to say where is the denial you are talking about?

As above - the denial that players, like Kubo, and many others, snubbing Barcelona and taking you to the cleaner's over their wage is a bad happenstance or merely an effect of the player's greed. Which it isn't. So many here like to focus on the cases of Neymar, Griezmann, Rabiot, De Ligt as if this is just textbook toxic player-agent tandem that you're bearing the brunt of. Ever asked yourself why you settle for these targets and Madrid pull deals out of their ass for almost every single target that is being talked about in their context for at least 4 years?
It is a symptom of bad negotiations being a recurring problem since 2014 when you've started to settle for option Bs and Cs, because you continually found it difficult to secure As and didn't know how to convince the parties you want to be the part of your project. Because there isn't one. You had no idea how to entice Kubo, who clearly is motivated to be performing at a level higher than his age, and convince him that you have a plan for him. Which you didn't. And lost him.

It is institutional failure, which reflects badly on you as a business. Hence you end up fidgeting with the books to make Cillessen swaps, can't find suitors for your backups and usually just find yourself lucky that idiots in Liverpool are willing to take scrubs off your hands (since they have a long history of overpaying for just about anyone from Bolasie, through Walcott down to Iwobi).

Lol. We signed most of our A options.

If Kubo was a priority for us he would have been kept.

While grossly overpaying and ruining relations with the previous owners. Chapeau bas.

We overpaid because such is the market. You overpaid for a 1 year left of his contract Hazard.

I don't agree we overpaid this summer actually.

Our relation with Ajax is pretty swell.

You realize he is getting paid 1m/year for half a decade? In todays market? How in the world you think anyone would call him greedy? Have you seen the market he is pulling from Japan? He isn't even getting nowhere near what he's worth, the only reason he went to Madrid is a middle finger to our club, nothing else.

Masterful handling of the argument I gotta say. Paul E classic - accentuate the positives, hide the negatives. Will be good to get another joke video from Ajax this year too, but their wee window has passed I fear.

I hate this board for sticking with an average manager, but your claims are not true. You said we signed our B and C options, but almost all players who were landed were often the no1 option as reported in the Barca papers from the start.

Overpaying for players is a result of the current market, not of our amateurish board.

You got it right that we have a crap board. But not because of our player transfers.

You have a crap board. Player targets you take on are an effect of your board, absolutely. Why stick with Roberto for as long as you do instead of going for somebody who has a higher ceiling to push Semedo? Arda? Digne? Raki? Gomes? Vidal? Rafinha? Going full-on Faubert with KPB? All relatively mediocre options for the needs of that lineup, mostly unnecessary and avoidable, yet quite satisfactory for your board who in all likelihood don't take EV's wants seriously since that's where Willian stories come from. Ineptitude of building a squad at institutional level. It is getting a bit better since Abidal came on board, but years of damage done from the sporting perspective. It's clear for anybody who doesn't unconditionally love Barcelona for no reason that there is no real idea behind this. Manager doesn't even need to be mentioned, because for all intents and purposes, he's a pawn and at least if good transfer policy was in place without his involvement, it'd be clear who needs to go first. But even basic sporting project isn't there.

You realize he is getting paid 1m/year for half a decade? In todays market? How in the world you think anyone would call him greedy? Have you seen the market he is pulling from Japan? He is getting 2-3 times more than what he was offered by Barcelona. Middle finger is quite the point. Madrid would be dumb not to bite and capitalise. And Barca were dumb enough to not redistribute the wages and entice him to stay with a higher offer. A dude that was nurtured for years in La Masia and who broke through to his NT at 16-17. Let go for free.
