Whata day. Lost an opener first time in a decade and loaned out the most expensive player in our history.

He's far more culpable then Valverde imo, he's the one responsible for buying players not who don't fit and keeping a coach with no vision.

His beloved shit coach surprisingly played shit football again, lost the opening game and his new 120M galactico played like the 140M galactico he just LOANED to Bayern.

Incredible start of the season for Barto.

This president's legacy is going to be "the guy who squandered Messis's prime years"

To be honest, messi doesnt show that he would like some changes, he still supports valverde, as long as he is getting paid as much as he wants, he is perfectly okay with situation today, if not, his words are enough to fire valverde

Edit: ou, its bartomeu thread not ernesto, but still, i dont see messi complaining about anything that bothers barca fans today, automaticaly its hard to feel sorry for him and his lack of sucess in most elite competition

While it's very disappointing to see our senior players backing him like this, it's screwed up when we're relying on our players to make the right decisions in the club.......

You never see that in a well-run club.

The only person Barto loves more than Valverde is Neymar so I'm hoping that if Neymar comes he will convince Barto that Valverde is a piece of shit!

You are absolutely right, but barca isnt well-run club for some time and messi doesnt have much left on top level, at least dont show support or justcome up with proper apology to all barca fans, as a captain ( or maybe i missed it?)

Naaa messi squandered his prime years with his own hands, he could have chosen to change all of that, but he is happy to
be among his friend players rather than winning for the club.

This guy is supposed to be a successful businessman and still cannot understand that no matter how much he invests on new players, it will be pointless as long as we have this muppet as manager.

He is not just a rubbish president he is an awful person whose word doesn't mean anything. This guy will claim something and after a month he will claim something totally different and he won't give a fuck what anyone else thinks about him or the club. He has destroyed Barca brand like no one before him. From one of the most bellowed clubs in the world we have became one of the most hated among football fans. Only thing he cares about is to spend as much as possible to buy star players and than he tries to cover that by selling Barca brand to every person that knocks on the door. He doesn't give a shit what will happen to this club after he leaves in 2021. I hate Valverde but this guy is a much bugger poison than our clueless manager.

Even if we get a decent president in two years time that guy will have his hands tied with all the debt left by the previous management board. Messi will bi in the end of his career, all of our current stars will be old and young players won't develop under Valverde at all. La Masia will be in ruins and there is no way anyone can fix that in the short term. It will take years to rebuild what Barto has ruined during his presidency. Unfortunately all we have now is few good years left until Messi retires because after that this club could find itself in position where MUN or Milan are right now.

We won't fall like Man Utd and milan, those clubs are used to make their owners money, Barca are a football club first and foremost not a business. All the money the club makes goes back into the team or the stadium, that doesn't happen at those two clubs. When Barto goes in 2 years then we can start over, with huge revenue, enormous prestige and glamour that set Us and Real apart from all other clubs. It would take more than Barto to lose that. We will be fine, all we need is a top coach and we will be back on top.

it is frustrating but we are still a world class team and attract the biggest stars, new stadium renovations coming and a new president with hopefully an exciting future. All clubs have ups and downs, if this is our sown time then we are lucky.

What is on the other side of revenues? Expenses! And they are rising even faster than revenues so I don't agree wit you. All of that glamour and revenues can easily go away after 2 trophyless seasons and that will happen for sure when Messi retires. When that happens and it will, we won't be able to buy expensive players like we are doing now. On the other side we won't be able to turn to our home grown players because La Masia basically doesn't exist anymore.
