Fans can't even protest by not showing up because they can't show up.

Fans protest? Even if they showed up they won't protest. We have passive fans at camp nou. Last time they did anything was supporting those players, I think it was cheering and clapping for Rakishit. lol

Funny how just 20 years ago the socio's would wave the white flags no end if they were not happy about something. Or even Laporta had a motion to leave with less sh*t than this board put us through. Times change.

As I suspected..... we'll go with what we've got.

Bartomeu is a lying piece of shit. I honestly believe he did leak that conversation between Messi and Koeman so it doesn't make him look like the bad guy, and probably to force Messi out. Barto doesn't give a shit if Messi leaves. He knows he's only got another 9 months left in the job, so he'll probably use Messi's salary and transfer fee to buy himself a nice boat or something. And people saying, "oh, he doesn't want to be the president who sold Messi." I doubt he cares about his "legacy." As I said, he's out of the job in 9 months anyway.

Why the hell would Messi stay? We're not going to win the Champions League any time soon. Our squad is old and average. Koeman is a decent manager, but he's never going to take us to the next level. We have no money to properly rebuild. If Messi stays, it's going to be more of the same.... or maybe even worse. If anything, Real Madrid will probably win the league by 15 points next season. I fully expect Real Madrid to improve their squad.

Messi is doomed either way. Even when Barto leaves and we get a new board by next June, we're still going to have no money to properly rebuild. We're still going to have average and old players on big wages. We're still going to need a world-class manager. In other words, it's going to take a long time for us to properly compete again at the highest level. Messi doesn't have the time, and he must know we're not going to win a Champions League in the 3 to 4 years.

People saying other clubs couldn't afford Messi. That's simply not true. I have no doubt we'd accept around 120m euros for Messi, given he's only got 1 year left on his contract and he's 33. It will also get his massive salary off the books. I'm sure Man City would easily pay the 120m euros.... and I doubt Messi would demand that kind of salary if it meant he's playing under Pep and competing at the top level again. Signing a big player like Messi would simply take your club to the next level, regardless of his age.

According to the latest reports Pique, Busquets, Roberto and Alba will be allowed to stay. All of them are Catalans. Also the club and the Catalan media is dealing with the mentioned players with more respect than with the non Catalans while Suarez is told in phone call, shorter than a minute according to reports, to leave the club. Interesting!

I think BBZ is 100 % correct in that it's important to keep the Catalan players and not lose the image that the club is portraying (the club of catalunya). Just a bit pathetic to discard players like Suarez and Vidal with a 1 min phone call.

It?s funny because Barca was never meant to be a club for the Catalan people when founded. It was even founded by a Swiss guy. I don?t care much for Catalan players, if La Masia is producing good players by all means let them come out for the first team, regardless of background.

Ideally an amigo would go from every line.

DF: Alba or Pique
MF: Busquets
FW: Suarez or Messi

Suarez is a great start.

In midfield Vidal and Rakitic are clearly past it. No harm in them going as they will eat minutes of others. Busquest should go but will probably wait for next year. If he is sub then it is fine, but I would stay open to offers as he does not offer much in top games.

Defence it should be Pique because of Alba's contract. Pique level is good but he can't be trusted to commit to football with his late night poker and business interests. He was a joke in the CL mini tournament having only 20 minutes of fitness before dry-heaving.

Lucky Koeman is better than him in every way as a former player so hopefully he keeps his ass in check and if not benches him. But we're going to need a strong Cb signing and that guy ain't Eric Garcia.

Overall Umtiti, Rakitic, Vidal, Suarez leaving is good but half of those didn't take part in the 8-2. And apart from Suarez they are all the same names we been trying to get rid of of before Koeman's arrival. Same as the signings like Lautaro, all of Barto's transfer targets from previous seasons. So the puppet master is still lustering his final year of power and relevance.
