Josep Maria Bartomeu

Barcelona for now won't change the Camp Nou pitch. They will make a final decision end August, after Gamper Trophy and first Liga game. [md]

They've changed the pitch every season the last years, looks like they might not do it this time.

Bartomeu: "Luis Suarez was on the table and when Luis Enrique signed, he said: If you can bring Luis Suarez to the club, bring him." [sky]

Bartomeu (president): "Cesc and Alexis both asked to leave, and our philosophy is not to force players to stay if they don't want to." [sky]

Alexis probably asked to leave after we were interested in Suarez.

Why would Cesc ask to leave? Did Lucho tell him he wasn't in his plans or something?

I think Cesc was also kinda fed up with all the criticism he got. I guess he also was not happy with being played at uncomfortable positions for him.

And on top of everything, Lucho probably realised he shouldn't have been brought back in the first place and told him he doesn't count for him in the upcoming season.

In short its the best for all party. Cesc must have been smart enough to realize this and decided to leave.

FC Barcelona director general Antoni Rossich, acting as the Club’s legal representative, has presented a statement to the Spanish National Court (Audiencia Nacional) concerning the transfer of Neymar Júnior.

Former FC Barcelona president Sandro Rosell and a representative of the Club’s auditors, Deloitte, also made declarations in court today.

The FC Barcelona director general, in his testimony before Judge Pablo Ruz, agreed with a previous statement by former president Rosell, that the contract had been correctly drawn up and that there were no tax related motivations, denying any form of contractual manipulation or simulation.

Both the FC Barcelona director general and former Club president Sandro Rosell also confirmed that neither the Club’s vice-president for sport, nor the economic vice-president took any part in the transfer negotiations or in the drawing up of the details of the contract. They both agreed that because of the singular circumstances of the transfer and the exceptional interest in the player shown by other clubs, FC Barcelona needed to act with the maximum discretion and confidentiality.

FC Barcelona confidently expect all of these declarations to help to clarify the fact that the club acted correctly at all moments throughout the transfer process.

Why would they be so stupid to say that Bartomeu has nothing to do with the transfer while its 100% obvious that he has?

If it has his signatures on the deal then they are gonna say that it was a formality which had to be done and that he had no information otherwise about the details of the deal. Being his buddy and colleagues they dont want to drag him with them in case they are found guilty(because its gonna tarnish the club's rep as well, even more than they have managed to do).

Funny thing I noticed: all new signings are sponsored by adidas(Suarez, MAtS, Bravo, Mathieu, Rakitic). Adidas invasion
Would it happen with sandy at the helm?
