Fabregas is worth about 40-55 million in this market... he only went for a cheap price because he wanted Barcelona and Barcelona wanted him... He wouldn't go any other club.. So comparing that price is silly. Mata's a very good player... but he will sign for Chelsea so he's rubbish... obviously. Valencia will miss him.... the gap has just got bigger between Valencia, Barcelona and Madrid.

Mata isn't elite at anything, while Silva is an exceptional playmaker. Don't forget Silva is the man who made Aimar expendable at Valencia!

Chelsea would probably be better off with Silva actually, but Mata is still a great addition.

Piatti has NOTHING on Mata, so I'm not sure why you're bigging him up. He was decent for his old club. Let's see if he can perform for a better club then.

I think Vicente is retiring, last I heard he couldn't find a new club. Pity, he was such a beast in his day.

Valencia fans are really big on this Bernat kid, the 18 year old Valencia Mestalla product who just got a new contract. He's going to be with the first team this season, though he'll probably be behind Piatti and Canales in the pecking order, and maybe Feghouli.
