Junior Firpo

He has played 2 or 3 games as a LCB with 3 at the back in La Liga and some more games as CB in 4-2-3-1 in Segunda B before he was promoted to the first team. Anyway, playing him as a CB would be a waste of his talent.

Sounds racist; a selection that is driven by ethnicity and skin color.

Calm your tits! Just stating the obvious, we might play with the all backs in defense.

At least all of them ar athletic, fast defenders. So defensive high line is ok

Unfortunately nowadays people are quite sensitive so I try to play my role in being the devil advocate.

If one was to say “Alba-Lenglet-Pique-Roberto ->> all white defense”, then it would be looked at as a racist comment by many; unlike the statement you made. It is a fragile world with many fragile people :)

Not if it’s in place of Umtiti... with Alba at LB

Umtiti was looking positively sluggish and uncertain the other day .. he’s done ..

It is because Firpo's biggest strength is his offense down the left flank. His defense is still questionable, especially playing in a 4-man defense (he has mainly played as a LWB in 3-5-2 under Setien) and he's largely unproven as a CB on a top level so I wouldn't use him there unless we wouldn't have other options because of injuries or suspensions.

Also, you are forgetting about Lenglet who should stay a starter until Umtiti will prove he can stay fit and get back to form.

Seen the tidbits of MD's article for Tomorrow(Today depending for the folks in Europe). And in this case, MD is clearly doesn't understand what they are writing about in this case.

They talk about how the club didn't submit an offer and won't offer more than 20 while Betis asks for 25. The really stupid part is, that they talk about how the club doesn't want to spend too much more than 20 for a Left back from the other articles they wrote.

But towards the end of the article, they talk about again how sources told them they opened up a second option and Alaba could still be an option. So let me get this straight, to them anything more than 25 Million on an LB is too much yet Alaba is somehow still an option?

Do these guys proofread what they even write? Not surprising these guys every summer for the last several years have been pushing the club to try and get Alaba without fail it seems.
