people often forget that about chelsea. for nigh-on 10 years before roman they had become a top 6 team consistently, signing big-name (or formerly big-name) players, giving themselves prestige. they even won the cup-winner's cup!

city have gone from 0 to 100mph, which is why everyone is fucking them off. they're nobody. and won't be signing any absolutely top players until they prove they're the real thing. that's why, apart from the odd foray (kaka, villa, raul?!) the owners aren't splashing big anymore and are signing goodbutnotgreat players who will help them crack the top 4. where they can then trade-up.

I would have said Kris Boyd (class in a glass!) But i know he's a sore subject with the Scots.

He scores goals and that's what matters, but he is often seen to not work hard enough on a pitch. Often waiting for the chances to come his way. That are he refuses to play for Scotland while Burley is in charge.

Thank God you arn't the sporting director!

Bet you've never even watched him so you don't know how good he is. And if your honestly trying to say Scotland don't have any good players then il admit im a little offended.

Chelsea were pretty much where Everton or Villa are now before Roman came in. Certainly far ahead of Man City's position, I could never understand the move by the Arabs from an investment POV because City will forever be the "other" team in Manchester. They'd have been far better off buying a team with a clearer identity as the top dog in the city/region such as Newcastle, Villa or a London side because the capital is capable of sustaining and projecting several top teams. Manchester isn't because it doesn't have the international profile (see the failed Olympic bids for proof of that).

Chelsea are much bigger then you..

the fact that no big player want to join you

Even Robinho are going AWOL .. he loves Citeh so much it seems he would jump ship to the first big team offer

Even Villa refused to move to Citeh when his team is suffering.. you can't buy History

you are below Preston.. the moment you surpass Preston .. you can start talking to other big teams..

it's Ironic isn't it that you point to another forum.. for a moment there i thought you are a Barca supporter ;)

:slap:

I NEVER said we are bigger than Chelsea. (We have more fans than them though even though we are "crap")

No big player wants to join us? Well that's a pretty bold statement. You must have spoken to every big player in the world to know that.

Robinho going AWOL? So he wants to leave now does he? What like he wanted to leave Madrid? He's said many times he's happy at City, most recently yesterday.

So Villa rejected us did he? Don't believe everything you read in the papers. They said you had already signed Kaka when he hasn't. History does not win trophies, players do.

Below Preston ? They are in the championship, shows how much you know !

You joining here is like me joining a United forum ! It's just wrong !

Stop dwelling on the past, the future is all that matters.

kris boyd is a born goalscorer, but also a bit of a flat-track bully. most of his goals come against weaker sides (and to his credit he does pummel the fuck out of them) but this season anyway he's only scored like 6 goals against the top 6?

alan hutton is awesome. he's a poor man's maicon. if he wasn't so injury-prone he'd have a higher profile and would have moved to a bigger club than spurs.

exactly. you only have to look at how all the rest of europe calls man utd "manchester" to know that they were on a marketing loser from the off.

The owners know a bit more about business than you do. They just made a profit of £1.8 billion today too by selling shares in an English bank about 6 months after they bought them. They can add that to their £550 billion. Perez is worth about £1.5 million.

They have been successful in everything they do.

They become best in everything they do and they have achieved that in every business they have bought so far...

you compared yourself to Chelsea case.. you are totally different then Chelsea (see Meta & CA posts ) ..
show me a big player who wants to join you please do ... everyone you bid for refused (including old legs Raul ) to join you.. sources by so many people.. all u can do is claim "oh we didn't bid its someone speaking on our behalf " yeah sure cause those footballer has tools for agents
Robinho ? the same Robinho who said on his presentation "I'm so happy to be here at CHESLEA "

maybe you go ahead and read Santos president statement .. or even Hughes reaction when Robinho stormed out of the training camp in Tenerife .. HE LOVES CITEH alright Ducky.. same way Ducky loves water

you really want to talk about the present ? pick a year ? 2000 & 2002 when we won the CL twice or 2007 & 2008 when we won the liga ? and during that you won ?
;)
Preston is in lower leagues so is Socidad .. simply because you didn't like me comparing you to Malaga.. they are just like you with so much less money ...

sadly i don't see you with any future .. couple of years and the Arabs will chip you to anyone like the Thai PM did before..

You seem to be coming out with all these "facts" when all you got them from was some crappy paper or website and you believe them !!

Are you retarded ? "2000 & 2002" or "2007 &2008" You mong, check your calendar it's 2009 ! Your living in the past.

Yeah because Robinho has come out twice in the last two days saying the president of Santos is talking garbage. He has said he might leave when he's past it i.e. 32+

Just like us? Well that's your opinion, but frankly you have shown that it means fuck all.

You don't see a future at City ? I think you better get your eyes sorted out then mate :rofl1:

There's a huge list of very successful businessmen who have been shite as owners of football clubs. So far all they've done is invest a shit load of money to get less points than you got last season. Money alone does not win trophies and you need more than business accumen to run a successful club.

History doesn't win you trophies, players do you tit (the fact that Chelsea are a big club now just shows I'm right).
thing is though duck, you'LL struggle to get the highest echelon of players (robinho aside) DUE TO the lack of recent history won't ya....:hmmm:
Right now and in the future we will be up there with the best in England.
whenwherewiththtewhathow????? :sherlock:
City go about there transfer business in an honourable way,
Why would you join the forum of your main rivals? It makes no sense.
as in gazumping teams at the last minute with wheelbarrows of cash thrown at what you hope is a mercenary?? atm you're in a catch22 really cos you want and can afford the best, but can't progress to the level they need without them...i almost feel a bit of sympathy, but i know you won't want it, so i'll keep it to myself.
it's gonna be interesting to watch anyhoo.
and i imagine he's here for the banter, and i think he's known some of the peeps here for a good while as well.
city have gone from 0 to 100mph
i think you'll find they were clocked at a maximum of 47mph this season.;)
it might be a while before they get to open up the pipes and hit 100.

That's fair enough. Im just very proud of my country, and considering we have a population of around 5 million i'd say we do fairly well for ourselves football wise. :D

If only we could get back into an International Tournament!
