I feel bad for Higuain, he's been so good for Madrid and so successful, yet doesn't get the recognition he deserves.

Benzema has flopped for two fucking years now and he's probably going to be first choice because of a good preseason and scoring some lucky goals against Barca.

Some dumbass Madrid fans and whatnot will probably start talking about selling Higuain soon again, just like two seasons ago.

I've never seen many Madrid fans grateful to him, I have NO IDEA WHY. He is a fine fucking striker and a product of many years at Madrid. They should be PROUD.

Don't think they'll sell higuain, though I wish they do. I'm not sure if Higuain has fully recovered from that back injury of his....lats season even he was 1st choice until december when he got injured.

I love Gonzo, have since before he became corrupted by The White Shits. but he's not 100 times the player Benzema will ever be. in fact as a player he's got nothin' on Benzema. the Franco-Algerian is serious business. he facilitates magnificent interplay up-front and is a superb creative forward (which is perfect when you have such a goal-hungry wing-forward like Cristiano). out of the Barça and RM squads, only Messi & Cristiano scored more important goals last season (tho Villa was just 1 behind Benzy).

is Higuain a better goalscorer? unquestionably. and if RM had a pair of balanced wing-forwards he'd be ideal to start for them. but as they have Señor Ding Dong as one of their wing-forwards, a striker who can play second fiddle is a better choice for them to have a functional smooth game. I've long said that Cristiano plays better with Benzema, and last season proved that theory true. now, sure, against most teams it tends not to matter because RM are just so good. but in the really top clashes, it shows.

Benzema may have had problems with his finishing in the Supercopa, but he did score 1 and create 3 of RM's 4 goals. and you can't really argue with that.
