Still regret that we bought Ibra instead of Benzema. He has really changed for the better since his first season for Madrid.

He is a Franco Madrid player but credit where credit is due.

39 goals in 69 appearances in the past 1,5 year is not bad at all considering the amount of minutes he has actually played during those appearances.

But yes, the 1998-2006 generation is long gone although there are a lot of talented guys coming up through the ranks. So I am not really worried about the talents or youth setup.

Agree with Furia though, bad year for French players all the same...Not sure a French player had a better year than Abidal but he did miss a good chunk of the season

As much as I dislike the guy he's definitely improved significantly. I think Higuan is a better pure striker but Benzema fits Mourinhoball perfectly.

Why?

He never caused any problems during the El Clásicos unlike a lot of other Madrid players.

Benzema would also fit Pepball really well, arguably better than Higuaín.

And yes there was that little sex scandal of his but that is gone and forgotten (Yes, I happen to like him as a player)

There is no way that Villa is better than Benzema right now. Is that you trolling again as usually?

Villa is still the better player when in form and he was decisive for us last season when we won the league and CL but his form is nevertheless likely to go one way and that is down, unfortunately.

The same cannot be said about Benzema who very likely has his best years ahead of him.

Looking at it in retroperspective I find it hard to argue against Benzema not being an better option than Ibra in virtually every aspect.
