Apparently Hollande read all the files in his case and is against Benzema taking part in the euro.
I think that is the last straw for him. Fully expect him to have his best season ever for RM which will make everyone butthurt.

The cases are totally different, Benzema is directly involved in a blackmail case, which is arguably much more serious. Messi is involved in a tax-case in which he wasnt the one responsible for the paper work or whatever.

I'd go as far as to say rich people don't go to jail in cases like this.

Yet one of the few with a genuine real world reason to actually hate him for.
