Keirrison

Keirrison back to Brazil, this time to Cruzeiro on a 1 year long loan. They will pay half of his wages and Cruzeiro will have a priority of buyout.

Flop now?

To be considered a flop, he would've first had to have been hyped or considered a great prospect...You know, like Kaka for example...He's a flop when you break the bank on a successful player that merely sells you shirts & sings songs to Jeezy Creezy

Most teams don't pay 14m for players who they don't rate as great prospects, tho.

I mean, it's some serious cash for a non-prospect, isn't it?

p.s. oh, on same time with dalitis...

He cost 12mln and didn't impress Pep for shit, not even enough to be considered the one to replace Bojan on the bench or anything like that. Plus Barca are still losing money on him since they partially pay his wages.

And TBF Kaka is a footballing flop, but he at least sells shirts.

Our recent transfer record has been mostly a complete and perfect disaster. Only Alves and Pique can be considered full-on successes.

Villa has been good, but if we are being honest we expected something more, that he will probably deliver this coming season. Mascherano has been decent in his relatively limited role, but I expect a bit more from him as well.

But we can have real hopes that Asexis and Cesc will be massive hits!!!

This transfer should be investigated, I believe.

I mean, we're talking about a 12-14m fraud here. People go to jail for money like this

Are you actually trying to defend your Kaka move???

There is no way that he has sold enough shirts to compensate for the 66m euros your club has lavished upon him, let alone his titanic wages...and frankly, what kind of Madridista would buy a Kaka shirt anyhoo?

The only people that may be buying his shirt in the past couple of years or so, are AC Milan fans (for the financial benefits he provided) and Barca fans, for the immense damage that he has caused to the Casa Blanca...

I still suspect he was bought as an elaborate (and failed) plot to obtain Villa, hoping we could flip him for David back when Valencia was slightly less enthusiastic about selling. They didn't bight, Keirrison has been generally useless regardless of where he played, instead we brought in Ibra, the rest is history.

But why not just add the 12m in our David Villa bid? I don't remember how much exactly we were short with, but it could have been even less than this.

Wow, no, by no means I don't think Kaka transfer did any good to RM, unless somehow Kaka proves himself this season in any positive way which I truly do not believe will happen. But it's undeniable that he recorded at least average shirt sales, probably largest sale levels on his shirts were at the start of 09 season so.. yeah, after all it's not a 100% disaster even though shitload of money has been thrown into swamp.
Bold part can't be a serious question from you. The world is not as clever as you think.

I have to admit that even I was feeling a little bit excited about seeing Kaka in La Liga, can't imagine how millions of madridistas were feeling at the moment. It's easy to judge now, but emotions were entirely different in 2009.

has he been given a decent chance anywhere he's been on loan?
we messed up this guys career :(

How on earth Keirrison is the only player who didn't get a "decent chance" in FOUR different teams?

Yeah, certainly there's nothing wrong with him here.
