Yeah, Gameiro could make impact instantly while Vietto would need time find his form again and considering he won't be playing that much, it may be difficult.

Gameiro is best choice for 4th striker.
We need someone who can provide goal whenever Suarez is absent
plus, Suarez is beast who play 50+ game for season and far from being injury prone.
Player we are signing now will have very limited playtime and definitely no development period will given.
If Vietto join our team, he'll have to get his form back before season start or he'll just be bench warmer for rest of season
Looks like Suarez have least 2 year of his prime so 22 year old immature 4th striker is waste of money imo
Most importantly, our team need someone who can make a difference as sup not just Suarez replacement.

And that what makes Sport able to break some stories b4 MD too,they can tell things the board doesn't want to be leaked.On the other hand it increase the amount of bs they publish.
Agree, for 20M I would take Gamiero over Vietto .He is the better player who is a veteran who can make an impact immediately and already used to being a good sub.
Won't worry that much about his age either,Vietto isn't gonna be a future starter here and he is the kind of player who if had a decent success will ask to move to another club for biggger role and if failed will move somewhere else.so he isn't really a long term. So we can see if we can get Jesus or put our faith in Rafa Mujica for the future.

If the fee is 20/25m, then get Gameiro.
Instant impact and we can then later explore other options in 2-3 years. Including Vietto himself who would be better off playing regularly and properly developing. All our other transfers this Summer have been of the other kind, so we can afford 25m on Gameiro.

I am reading that Gameiro is definitely Atletico bound. Would be interested to find out about the price, whether they did activate the 40m buy-out or not.

Guys it is over, we lost both of them. ATM for sure told Sevila that they will buy Gameiro with money from Vietto so thay can eather sell Gameiro and get Vieto or sell Gameiro and Vieto goes to Barca. They used us for bargaining, it was basicaly imposible for us. I am 100% sure this will hapen!

Apparently Atletico made an offer including Vietto.
So we can end up empty handed after being linked with both ?
