Keylor Navas

Well luck has no part, it's called scouting

sure no club has 100 % success record in getting the right players but i'd say lately we've done pretty well compared to the period between 2004-2008 in terms of getting the right players and letting them go at the right time
Keylor is no exception

I think he's talking about the fact that you were ready to kick him to the curb for DDG instead of giving him a chance. You're lucky Navas stayed after the who fiasco of the non-transfer of DDG

I never was a big fan of DDG but it's not like we were getting a worse keeper ?
DDG for us is a symbol , we try to keep the Spanish NT team keeper from the club .. and DDG is inline after Iker

Florentino has begun a shrine to the fax machine, praise be its holy name, now.

Not at all, i bet he regret missing out on ddg still. You see, Perez hardly cares about how players perform if they arent big fancy signings. For him its more important to have a new shiny toy, who is marketable, than anything else. Performances on the field is always less important to him than that. Thats not saying ddg is not one of the very best keepers around, or at all inferior to Navas in general, but you get the idea.
He would still sell Navas in a heartbeat, if he could get ddg tomorrow, even if Navas keep it up through the entire season.

DDG may be better in other areas but Navas is a better shotstopper IMO

What I posted was a joke.

You're welcome
Together with Benzema and Ramos the players I like to root for from time to time as a Barca fan.

I have been calling it since day 1 that Navas is enough of a good enough keeper for Real and there is little point in bringing De Gea.
Madristas were still eager to label him as not being good enough.

Great to see he's doing so well now and he gets the credit he deserves. I just hope he is not going to do too well for Barca's sake.

He showed the ace in the hole

Madridista in general would even accept a very mediocre player IF he showed one important trait
Strong character
Something that is always related to the club history & historical players
what Navas showed was enough to win them over instantly while it took Marcelo 5 years & took Benzema 3 years.. Navas did it in 7 games

Well I think that most of the madridistas on this forum(Beast,Morten & me at least) were saying that Navas is good enough and that we should only get De Gea if it's a cut-price deal.

Yeah I was referring to another football site that I frequent.

Nolito praised Keylor Navas and spoke about his goal during his interview with El Larguero, a Spanish chat show.

The Madrid keeper stopped absolutely everything, he was the difference. He made some impossible saves.

I watched it again on the telly. Just as well it went where it did, any lower and he stops that too, the prick.
