Heard that same shit when Neymar was 19.

Now 6 years later he is still overshadowed by Messi and Ronaldo in their 30s.

Cavani been top player forever. Mbappe has long way to go before he will be called better than Cavani.

You only speak this way because you don’t watch him play. He’s absolutely breathtaking, creates chances with ease and his pace is simply unfair. Technical, poised, confident, athletic... I was too young to truly appreciate El Fenomeno but I imagine this is what is must have felt like. I’ve never seen anything like this kid.

He is an amazing player but lets not overreact. Glad that he went to Oilbois and not Real Madrid.

As I said, watch him play and you’d react the same. Forget what club you support, what leagues you prefer, whatever and just appreciate what we’re witnessing. He’s actively making history, doing things only 1 or 2 players have ever done before.

Do you think he'll surpass Neymar soon?

I have watched him play and he is an amazing player but it's obvious that he is physically very capable for a 19 year old. To me, 19 year old Messi was much better when not even at the same level of physicality where Mbappe is now. Mbappe will of course continue to improve in the future but in my opinion his improvement won't be as drastic as people expect.

If you watch him play, please break down his game. Try to explain why he is so amazing... Because the things he’s able to do at his age, I’ve never seen before.

Players level and performances don't grow exponentially.

Messi was 19 year old when he scored that hattrick in the Clasico, the most high profile football match in the World or at least Europe.

He was 22 when he won his first Ballon D'Or.

Even if Mbappe at 18 is better than Messi at 18 was, Messi at 22 is probably a better player than Mbappe ever is going to be, the odds are stacked against him. And that's not even close to the best version of Messi.

I think you might be going a bit over the top here. What Messi has achieved and Cristiano's statistical output and consistency is freakish. We might never see that again.

These guys scored 50 and 45 goals just in the league, and a competitive league at that.

Mbappe surely got the potential to become an ATG though. Ronaldo, El Fenomeno was a better player than Mbappe too. He was just magic on a complete different level, a different beast whose career was hampered by injuries.

To be fair, Jair didn't claim Mbappe is going to be better than Messi and Ronaldo etc., that Wallace guy did.

There is no denying Mbpappe is already a very good player and has some big potential. The question is will he be able to keep up? Certainly hoping he will not be like another Bojan.

Mbappe isn't a right winger. PSG is playing him at his weakest position to cater for Cavani but it doesn't matter because he's a ridiculously complete player. His preferred positions are LW, SS, and ST. From the left he can cut in on his right and is a greater scoring threat, as an SS he can drop deep and create, or he can run of the shoulder of the last defender as a ST. But now, as a RW, he's deleting his marks, bending defenses vertically and putting in crosses; low or high as if he's been doing it for a decade. He can stay wide and play off Alves, or he can push centrally and play off Neymar who likes to play in the same areas. When Neymar drops deep, he can play closer to Cavani and terrorize CB's with his movement or even take up space on the left. He's dangerous from everywhere, and he's getting better each and every week. His close control and dribbling have rapidly improved, for example, growing from 1.8 per match with Monaco last season to 3.3 with PSG today. He's phenomenal.

Who is getting over the top, Jar was saying Mbappe better than Cavani not Messi, Wallace is the one said he is going to be better than Messi but I think he was sarcastic.

You guys need to read his posts and what he is alluding to when comparing Mbappe to Brazilian Ronaldo, how he'll be better than Neymar very soon and how what he is doing at this age is unprecedented with the path he's taking.

Read between the lines.
