I think he was basing his thoughts on the WC performance more or less. Messi honestly had a bad WC and we all know it and even few here believe Messi deserves to win the BD. Ronaldo has been his idol since his childhood, Modric did have a very good WC, Verane is his team mate and did well in the WC too. Neymar, his teammate, duh!

People are reading too much out of that. I don’t think he is necessarily Real Madrid bound.

Pining for this guy is just plain stupid, but can't help think he would have complemented Leo and Suarez real well guys....Hope y'all aren't thinking I am being irrational

You are not. Everyday i heard of him i think of how Barça was stupid when refused his ''offer'' to join the club. Last year he was already more than just a promising youngster, he had insane qualities and proved himself both in champions league and French league and he is psychologically more mature than probably any player of his age.

Dembele is great but Mbappé is pure gold and he is so determined that unless he has several injures in his carreer he doesn't get 3 or 4 ballon d'Or at least.

Also, in terms of position i don't understand. a LW left, a LW should have entered.

Commercially it would have been better also, but that's only a plus.

In 10 years we will have articles like, ''Mbappé could have been a Barcelona player! The club was undecided between him and Dembelé, but ended up choosing the later!! .'' And a Wall of comments mocking Barça. But with some reason actually...

He never offered himself to us. And we never rejected him.

I believe we did not have any contacts with Mbappe last summer whatsoever.

Mbappe REJECTED Real Madrid, his favorite team and the club where his idol played and Man City after being called by Pep and that is a fact. He most likely rejected Barcelona too.

Monaco's VP said Real Madrid offered them the same amount as PSG, but that Mbappe told them he want to go to Paris. Mbappe himself admitted he talked with Pep, but rejected Man City. Why? Because he wanted to join PARIS SG.

Barca did not choose between Mbappe or Dembele.

Barca chose to overpay for the second most talented U20 player in the World after Mbappe. It was either that or use most if not all of our 222m on someone like Hazard or Griezmann.
