Lol the catalan journalists started kicking up a fuss after Mbappe's performance vs Argentina.

They started writing bullshit articles on how the club was offered Mbappe but we turned him down for Dembele. Bunch of fucking hacks a lot of these journalists are.

As far as i know, the vice president of Monaco only said they received two proposals: one from PSG, another from RM. Barcelona was never mentioned in that conversation i think you are talking about.

Mbappe rejected RM because he wouldn't probably be on the line-up while on PSG he would.

I agree Mbappe was a better bet, but Dembele isn't bad either. I've also argued about the same. But, Dembel is a Barca player now, & the past is past.

Messi is the best player an XI could have, but still RM are the ones who won CL 3 times in a row, where it mattered the most. It was simply because having a starting eleven of VERY GOOD players is better than having the best player and 10 GOOD players.

My point is if Dembele can lead Barcelona to glory, even without him being better than Mbappe personally, its all good.

I'm sure Mbappe knows as much as anyone that PSG is just a stepping stone. Players that know they are going to move on from a club at some point or another should STOP signing these massive contract extensions that make them unattainable and mindblowingly expensive. It happens way too often and makes no sense, just feeding into the mindless inflation of the sport.

Especially at PSG, Mbappe must realize that if he ever renews he will not have the chance to back out and leave.

Free agency has to be the new wave. Mbappe just runs down his contract and when he's like 23 he's free to make his decision, and come to Barca. If PSG don't want to lose him for free, we get a discount the year before his contract runs out.

Umtiti and Dembele will run point on recruiting Mbappe, it is known.

Maybe one of the reasons why RM aren't signing any Ronaldo replacement is because they want Mbappe to fill that in future?

Till then go with Bale, Asensio, Vinicius as the replacement. ?

Mbappe will never leave PSG, simple as that.
PSG have basically unlimited funds, so they will just throw more money at him, if that doesnt work, just throw even more, problem solved.
No one will be able to match the contract he will get upon renegotiation, and money>all in football.

It may not make sense to you, but it makes sense to the player to accept a huge salary.

Nah, Mbappe is the next superstar guy. The one everyone else is going to jerk off to. Dembele, if anything is going well, well be the next "Robben guy". The one superstar and world class player that will be going kind of under the radar. I just hope it will happen at Barca because the whole story with him has been difficult from the beginning.
