Well, this idea might sound good for the international fans but do you know there are people that are day to day fans ? They go to the home and away games as much as possible. This idea of an European League supplanting national leagues is a nightmare for local fans.
Why do you think the stadium of the other clubs is full when they receive PSG ? Because people love quality and entertainment. Who is to say the correct way of football being run is those people not being able to watch the talents their country has raised ?
How do they develop in sporting sense and financially (goes in hand with the branding of clubs and league) if the way it is, as you describe it, is to abdicate and let your best players leave.
In one hand you talk about ambition but you want french clubs to be unambitious. Worse, if a club is ambitious enough to try and keep those players away from your typical Big club, it is considered wasting away.
With that logic, you can never go anywhere.
PSG and Monaco, before FFP hits hard, showed that the only thing missing in France is the money. See how in most of the latest confrontation french clubs have dominated their english counterparts. Still, most of the Ligue 1 players go there due to their financial might.
I'm french, i'm proud and i don't see why we should willingly bend over if we were not so much weaker financially. Mbappé did just fine in world Cup while being in Ligue 1 so this is not an hindrance whatsoever for the national team.
Wouldn't you prefer a world where Rennes would be rich enough to keep Dembélé, Pogba would have been Le Havre graduate, Kanté at OM, Mbappé at Monaco or PSG with week in week out incredible talent displayed ? Instead, you prefer a world where we keep the leftover.
Sorry mate, i really can't understand how a french person could prefer to keep the shit at home and gives away his jewels.

Nah, I'd prefer they stay in France like you if it did make sense, if there were more investors. Right now, what's the point facing Dijon or Guingamp for PSG ? Zero point. Weren't they 30 points clear at some point ?

It's like watching a race between a formula one and bikes. I don't enjoy watching that. Barcelona or Madrid are playing good teams on a regular basis (Valence, Seville, Atletico...). They're trashing small teams too but at least it's not every week.

I want French clubs to be ambitious, it's just right now they're not at all and I don't think murdering Dijon every week is the best way to improve for Mbappe.

I hope ambitions will come back to Ligue 1, I used to watch it with a lot of joy in the nineties, when Marseille and Paris were among the very best teams in Europe. Until then, I'll watch the Liga.

The League CEO address all those questions in this interview :
http://www.sportspromedia.com/news/psg-ligue-1-tv-rights-lfp-ceo

PSG stars factor do bring additional attention and revenue for Ligue 1.
The new TV deal will even be more equally spread than it was already, meaning that PSG won't even benefit that much compared to the bottom sides.
Why do you think Tebas went on crusade after PSG and even refused to process Neymar transfer (Barcelona proposed to do it at their club) ? Because losing Neymar affect the branding power of la Liga.
Why did Tebas go into a rant over Juventus and Inter, for Cristiano Ronaldo and Modric respectively ? Because losing them would affect the product he is tasked to sell. Remember how he shut up when Inter told him they were going to sue him if he kept talking bollocks ?

However you like it or not stars bring the brand of the league up. It benefits the whole league with more attendance (people want to see those stars in their stadium), more TV and sponsorship revenues.

I don't see the relevant point with PSG being better than Dijon and keeping their best players. Bayern, Juventus have a bigger winning streak in their leagues and they keep hoarding all the talent possible. Worse, Bayern categorically refused to sell Lewandowski that pushed for a Real move. Do you still apply your logic with Bayern and Bundesliga ? Should have Bayern sold their main attacking player to a CL rival because it is the right way ? Isn't Lewandowski wasting away his talent in that league he is winning year in year out ?
Like Juventus and Bayern, PSG is the dominating force in his league. Still, they want the continental glory and are right to keep their best player to attain their goals. What is wrong with that ?

You talk about the nineties that were good times for french football and how you enjoyed it before turning away. Do you know why french football suddenly became non competitive ? Because of Bosman ruling and financial disparities. With Bosman ruling, other leagues could buy as much french players they wanted and with the shackles of DNCG, the french clubs couldn't compete. It is even funnier when you see the ones that commited pretty big financial doping in these times crying now and saying football is being ruined by the new financial doper that is PSG. Of course, FFP didn't exist at that time but it is hypocritical to see those who were financed by their country/region, had insane debt, that had insanely low rate loans, special tax status and tax dodging practices being the moral beacon of football world nowadays.

What Ligue 1 needs is the financial muscles to stop the hemorrhage of talent or, at least make it so expensive to buy that you can find adequate substitute.
Ligue 1 needs successful club in Europe to convince the talent they can make it even if they don't leave. This is what Bayern is in Germany and why the biggest talents there want to go in Munich instead of abroad.
This point is very important because most of the time the young french players have no real affection for their club. They are raised there but in their mind they are ready to go as early as possible in Premier League to make a living and give their best years. This change won't happen overnight and it is very important that Mbappé is so vocal about his choice of making history in France and with a french club. If Mbappé and PSG win that bet, i expect a very good outcome for the next generations.

If we follow your route, i wonder what the point of having actual professional football clubs in France is. We could just build academies and ship the youth product to the other leagues since it is the way it should go according to you. Why should we even try to compete if our fate is already decided ?

What do you mean I'm not? There's at least 2 guys that say I am! TWO! That's more than a one-off!

I've good news for you. Your persistence has paid off and now it's way way more than a one-off. Here's your reward

He does love the Clasico since he got punished last time it occured : he was late for the game meeting because he was watching the game and was benched for OM - PSG.

Also Dembélé is a big friend of his.

Anyways, Bartomeu shot fire towards PSG in his interwiew (FFP) so it is well known the two clubs are not in a great relationship.

Another thing is Bartomeu talked about Neymar and stated they never had any contact with each other etc. That should put to bed the circle jerk about de Jong being convinced by Neymar messages instead of the decisive proposal when they did their last minute trip.

Was funny how Kurzawa balls into Mbappé kept being deflected by defenders out of poor Montpellier keeper reach.
Speaking about the devil, Montpellier keeper is really good. PSG should buy him, seems better than Areola. Will not happen though since we like to give chances to our academy players, his recent renewal and his world champion status.

Just noticed that he has 20 league goals already this season when he only got 13 last year. For those who watch PSG more often, has he improved that much as a player or is the Tuchel system just working better for him?
