I see. Well, with money (which PSG doesn't lack and I can only concur and bow in in front of the awesome commercial and marketing power PSG has, you guys had the second most commercial revenue in 2021, only behind Bayern and were ahead of Madrid and us) and proper planning (we will see about that), you can definitely turn it around soon (just look at Madrid, aka CD Tacon has done in a few years). You just won your first league title last year, right, after a few years of finishing 2nd.

PSG owners don't have very big ambitions for the women team. If they really wanted, they could easily outspend Lyon. Instead, they are ok being Lyon feeder club and quite content with the role of challenger.

It is easy to see where PSG owners ambitions lie. Take for example PSG Handball : always star-studded team even though they fail harder than PSG men team. Women football is "cheap", they could have dominated if they really wanted to. One good thing though is they produce quite nice young women players.

I wonder how much of the reported sign on fee is media hogwash to stirr up the transfer fee PSG rejected last summer when Mbappe had 1 year left on his contract.

In hindsight the play didn't work out for them. PSG CL aspirations ended in the 2nd round after retaining Mbappe and adding Messerginaldum while Madrid made the final.

350m package for 5 years of Mbappe going into his prime is a great deal for Madrid. Unless injuries get in the way, it will turn out to be a bargain.

No it isn't
Ridiculous take
Numerous examples of players from either manager tenure of various levels of skill from Lewandowski, Kroos, Mandzukic, Gotze, Yaya to a Lovren, Chyhrynskyi, Hleb or Nathaniel Clyne that haven't improved or even got worse, and in some cases gone on to have better careers without them

LOL:lol:
That's some ridiculous list of names you throw as possible 'counter-examples'

Yaya didn't decline under Pep, he wasn't needed when we had Busi-Iniesta-Xavi. (Totally different discussion if some of those you mention were NOT needed by the coach)

Lovern attain whatever a Dejan Lovren could under Klopp, played CL final, and the best football of his career under Klopp.
Kroos was super fine and good under Pep, had he stayed more years I bet he could have been even better than under Zidane
Lewa exploded under Klopp and was good under Pep
Manju was fine 1 season under Pep, then his club decided to bet on someone else for the CF position.
Clyne was great in the first Klopp season, then got badly injured and got faded out by the much higher ceiling TAA.
Chygrinski was a wrong transfer, and as a B-tier player who would make only a benchwarmer he did the best he could do

Finally, Hleb and Goetze had their own psychological problems that they couldn't solve.
That's not on their managers. They are not miracle makers. These guys wouldNT succeed under any manager in the world in a top club.

Terrible take
To help you a bit: In order to come with a legit counter-example you have to identify a player that flopped under Pep or Klopp, and THEN exploded under a different manager.
Try again, you won't find many...

Didn't say he declined. Read again.
Didn't play his best football under Pep. One of the many examples how Pep's not necessary or a guarantee to facilitate player reaching their ceiling

Lovern attain whatever a Dejan Lovren could under Klopp, played CL final, and the best football of his career under Klopp.

Utter nonsense. Lovren was terrible under Klopp, a constant liability that had to get subbed out in crunch games at 30 min mark (i.e. memorable 1-4 to Spurs) and club was desperate for Matip to be fit all the time
Lovren's best individual level was at Southampton under Pochettino. Way out his depth in Klopp system

Could talk about other players from that team just as well
Moreno played best football of his career under Emery right now before reinjuring
Kabak was a meme under Klopp despite being Bundesliga rookie of the season year prior

Plenty examples

Kroos was super fine and good under Pep, had he stayed more years I bet he could have been even better than under Zidane
Yup was fine and doesnt support the claim he was best of his career under Pep because he wasnt (in fact was better even in first season after he left) and null point to hypothesise he'd be better under somebody else as can't test and yet presenting it as fact.

Lewa exploded under Klopp and was good under Pep
And played the best individual football of his career well after leaving both of them behind

Manju was fine 1 season under Pep, then his club decided to bet on someone else for the CF position.
As above, played best football of his career after leaving Pep behind. Wasnt under him he was best

Clyne was great in the first Klopp season, then got badly injured and got faded out by the much higher ceiling TAA.
Yup as above, got hurt, got worse and got shipped out

Chygrinski was a wrong transfer, and as a B-tier player who would make only a benchwarmer he did the best he could do
Aye, played rubbish and Pep did nothing to his career despite asking for him and even wanting to keep him at the end
Didnt play best of his career under Pep either

Finally, Hleb and Goetze had their own psychological problems that they couldn't solve.
As above, not supporting thesis that players are guaranteed to play best football of their career under Pep

Great coaches are not a guarantee of facilitating player improvement even if you'd like to present it as such as fits your POV

Of course not all players play best football under Pep or any coach.

At City alone.. Bravo, Otamendi, Danilo, Nolito all got worse and other who were there before Pep struggled as well.

Even likes of Mahrez been good but never been ad good as he was in that season Leicester won the league.

Grealish although still time hasnt been better.

De Jong 20mil, Griezmann 25+, Suarez simmular.

Messi was on like 50 i belive

Barto contracts are hardly a supportive argument to make this one look sensible

Messi earned that kind of money on his last contract and it's a huge point of critique, not normal to pay a player that, especially since only done to placate him in light of asking him to bear responsibility of a shite sporting project

Even CR's second deal was 22-23 net
It is far from responsible to give Mbappe more on entry and probably in addition let him double the net wage through image rights
