Atletico dropped points against Levante. Could Valencia snatch 3rd place if we beat Atletico next week and Valencia win their remaining games?
Atletico is also 4 points in front. They just need to win one of those 2 games, but it's safe to say they will try to beat us.

Ah okay, I hope Valencia finish in 3rd.

I don't think Valencia deserve 3rd place at all to be honest. They only had the league to play for this season, not even Europa League to drain their resources, and they even got eliminated from the CdR early on.

Atletico managed a more than honorable CL run, besting Juventus in the process and only losing by 1-0 to defending champions Real Madrid when reduced down to ten men. They have also managed to beat Real Madrid time and again throughout the season. On that basis alone, they deserve 3rd place for sure.

Moreover, Sevilla have also managed a very good league run, while also doing more than fine in Europe and are now on the cusp of yet another European final. Don't get me wrong, I like Valencia and want them to do well, but I give more credit to the clubs that have also done very well in UEFA competitions.

Awesome piece of control and subsequent pass out of pressure from Suarez. That was great! :barcascarf:

By the way, what a goal by Sevilla a few minutes ago.

Meh... we never deserved the 4th place anyway. We played 8 matches against the top 4 and couldn't manage to win a single one of them! That is unforgivable if you are fighting for CL places. Especially losing the h2h against the direct rivals (Valencia) was one of the most important factors.

Hopefully we will repeat last year's EL triumph and reach the CL group stage, or else, it will be a failed season altogether (not reaching the season objective), regardless the unbeaten streak, the nice football etc.

I was surprised by Sevilla's line up. No vitolo, reyes, m'bia, aleix vidal.
Poor coaching from emery once again , because Vigo is always a tough team to play.

Reyes had the 5th yellow ban, M'bia is injured and Vitolo/Vidal came in during the second half. Heavy rotation was done, Banega didn't play at all while on bench, and Bacca also came only in the second half. No Tremoulinas in the left flank either.

We're saving everything for the EL triumph, that is the last train to CL.
