That's what doesn't make any sense. In some games when they have gotten their favours in the dying moments of the game and snatched some points then how would have they have been ahead?

Honestly Don, I don't remember Real Madrid being bailed out completely (and getting 3 points) because of bad calls and favors this season. Perhaps I am wrong as I am getting old and my memory is rusty. Feel free to prove me wrong. :p

I just remember them playing very well (especially their offense line) in most games and getting on the score sheet often. Us? Not so much.

Yeah, on the contrary, I felt it was us that has reached the limit in a way, that we are out of gas, out of passion, out of a lot of things. Real Madrid, on the other hand, despite some hiccups, are on their way up, with or without those favors they got.
Barca didn't reach its limit, but for sure are limited by their board -.-

That said, Messi is back while some here thought he would be on perpetual decline from now on.

Actually, Messi is doing kind of better imo since RM got first, as if Messi, who's a pro amongst the pro feels that he can't let Ronaldo wins it.

Three points. One point.

Points are points.

Now of course they have been doing better, creating more, playing better overall, but they have in many games also been very shaky and looked vunerable at the back and looked towards getting a not so good result only to be bailed out in the end. Whether it's by getting one point or three points is not the point.

The point is that they have been and they are getting bailed out continously and that's fucking getting on my nerves, it does every fucking time. And it's fucking ridiculous to disregard that completely.

Sorry for my language, but it's simply too much.

I am not saying they are bad. They have been and are playing better than us, but just as us, they have been bad in some games, but unlike us......gotten the result they wanted in the end.

And it's not an isolated incident. It's a pattern which has always existed and will continue to exist unless something is done with it and staying quiet and saying that it doesn't matter or change anything is not exactly helping...even though in these days no one really care that much about us fans and what we think anyway.

I definitely agree Messi has been better this season (thank God!), but our team collectively went down a notch, despite some bright spots (defense for one). I blame it on Luis Enrique.

Last week Benzema's blatant foul on Wellington for his goal. RM won 2-1. Opening goal again, which is a trend.

It is like that since always. It'll take a long time till we see changes.

Tonight, they chanted again their "Messi es subnormal" song. Nothing will happen. They have power and consider themselves above everything... cr's punches on godin went unpunished, for example. Spain is a very much corrupted country yet, sadly.

I hear you man and I absolutely share your pain and frustration.

My point is, yes, those bad calls and blatant favors made our blood boil, but are they DECISIVE enough to have significant impact on the outcome of the games? Again, it is just my recollection and I could be very much wrong indeed, that the favors they received usually gave them the breathing room when they already had the lead, or they had score more legitimate goals (without the aid of favors) afterwards anyway. I was referring to situations where they got all three points or a point because of one goal that was blatantly given to them. There might have been some earlier, I just don't recall any this season.

It's the 1st goal, more often than not. Like today. When they are struggling, they get a penalty to make things easier.

Well, other than driving ourselves crazy, there is not much we can do about that club from the stench capital of the world, right? :p We can't protest to La Liga governing body, we can't do anything.

So I propose channeling our (not just us fans, but Barca in general) energy into something positive, let's make ourselves stronger, better and beat the crap out of everyone in our way and certainly that stench capital club.

But getting goals that allow them breathing room on top of a lead, or first goals that open up the game for them to score more legit goals later (the ketchup effect  ) absolutely decides games, especially if you take a bigger view and look at a complete season. It means the difference of many points after a while. It's about getting help or not, which they are.

And right now RM are playing very well and getting blatant referee assistance. And that's what makes it so untolerable and noticeable compared to when Barca was dominating regardless and people just forgot about it.

They're getting plenty of opening goals this way. It matters. They want you to come and leaves space for their counter. Opening goals entirely condition matches in their favor.

There I agree completely, well said! :beer2:

Luft, does it really matter though? Do you think it's easy to chase a game when you're level? It's not. It's very tiring.
